Customer reviews & ratings
My boys love these guns. They seem to be well made, though we have only had them for one month. The tripod is really cool and seems durably made and attached. Collapses when you pick up your "weapon", I thought that was a nice feature. Get some goggles. And the "bullets" really sting when you get hit. Though my boys think that's great. The dog isn't too happy about it.....
Great Support from Walmart
Bought this blaster for my nephew. First one had a loose wire in the battery compartment and Walmart replaced it with no questions asked! Second one works like advertised - the Rhino Fire is the most powerful Nerf Blaster ever!
Gift received with days to spare
Excellent service . We received our item ahead of schedule, worked out perfect for our Grandson's birthday!
Wow What a Blaster
Gave this Blaster to my son @ Christmas and he Loves it.
My stepson loves this toy. They never had Nerf guns like this when I was a kid!
This is an amazing gun! A must have in your collection!
Looks Good ...
As far as looks go this has it. As for as how it actually works, not so much. Magazines constantly jam to the point the boys actually use the "straight" magazines from some of their other guns. It's pretty sad when the child actually prefers using the smaller hand held gun because of all the issues with jams. I don't like the jamming because it messes up the bullets which means more $.
Neat toy, does not like generic darts.
I bought this for my sons sixth birthday and he loves the toy. I would have given it 4 or maybe even 5 stars except for the fact that the 25 round drums that come with the gun do not like generic darts. I completely understand the risks you are taking by not buying the Nerf Brand darts, but my son has accumulated thousands of darts over the couple of years he has enjoyed his Nerf guns and trying to get a six year old to sort his darts and only use Nerf brand elite darts in this particular gun is a complete waste of time. Instead, I spend more time getting the gun unjammed than my son spends playing with it. I would only recommend using Nerf brand elite darts in this gun. Otherwise, it is a great toy, both dad and son approve!
Do not buy it!
The gun worked okay on it's first round. After that, my son spent more time unjamming the gun than he did actually shooting the gun. After about two hours of trying to get it to work correctly, the 8 D batteries were DEAD!!!!! We finally gave up after searching the Internet and utube; we found that lots of people had problems with this gun. We took it back and bought two different guns for the same total price.
Will not hold batteries in place
Will not hold batteries in place so there fore it will not work. A wasted 132.00. It was bought as a Christmas gift and the box was ripped apart and trashed before we put batteries in it. when we put the batteries in they kept popping back out. the cover is too loose to hold them down so they will not get contact for the gun to work. It is obviously a manufacter defect so I am going to approach both Wal Mart and The maker of Nerf to see if this issue can be resolved. All I know is I paid 132.00 and had a very disappointed grandson on Christmas morning since this was his main gift he wanted and was the main one we bought. We bought 9 other Nerf guns also but none as expensive as this one.
My son's Christmas present came way before I expected it to and it was in a discrete box. Perfect!
Excellent quality and price.
Great toy works great would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for the battery requirement.
This is a great product. In addition to arrive on time, my sons loves this nerf gun. The bullets come out fast and reach far. Warning, the gun is a bit heavy. So only for bigger boys.
Preapre to pay for batteries
The gun is great but it consumes a lot of battery power. You need 6 D size batteries to run it but it will not last very long. Other than that this gun shoots like a real machine gun.
Bought this item for my 8 year old son and he loves it he has been playing with it with my older son and they just love it works great and reached long distance.
5 minutes then dead
I want to start out by saying that if ratings were based of of looks alone this thing would get 5 pretty easily. Unfortunately it took about 5 minutes for the thing to die, and that includes unpacking and setup. Within the first couple of shots there was the smell of burning electronics and plastic and then stopped altogether. Hopefully this one is just a bad unit. Going to exchange for a new one and see how that goes.
Great toy for older nerf nuts!
Got this for my 8 year old, I may have to buy one for me as well as I am tired of getting ambushed as I walk out of my office. 1. It's an incredible looking toy but it does have some major drawbacks that you should know about. First is size and weight. IT"S HUGE! while it can be carried smaller kids will find it difficult to lug around. 2. While most people may consider having two huge drums that each hold 25 darts a plus this thing shoots them out ridiculously fast and quite inaccurately. You will be lucky if 20 darts hit their intended target the rest seem to scatter all over the place. Secondly loading the drums is time consuming and kinda a pain in the butt. Once again a task not intended for younger players. 3. Power. This thing runs off D size batteries so it doesn't suffer as much from slowdown from firing multiple darts at once. *The smaller AA powered guns really do get bogged down by fast action shooting) With that make sure your kids wear some sort of eye protection as if they get hit in the eye, take it from someone who has been IT HURTS! All in all a fun toy.. probably not the gun you want to use in a nerf battle but great for defending a base or fort. Personally, I do not like the fact that you can't fire one side at a time. There is only one large trigger and I can foresee the pumping action of barrels is one of the things that will break on this within a few months of play. My oldest likes to modify nerf guns so it will be interesting to see what he does with it after a few months once the "newness" wears off.
