I've had this coffeemaker for over a year now, and it's still running strong. I'm a single guy and have little need to make more than two servings of coffee at a time. The features are pretty straightforward and work as expected. It uses minimal counter space and makes great-tasting coffee. I like how the water reservoir lid is separate from the coffee compartment, so you won't get cross-contamination of water and grounds. Nor will you get condensed water dripping down the back of the unit like you do with machines that have one lid for both compartments. The pause and serve feature can be drippy, but all machines with this feature can be messy as well. The timer works great and the clock keeps accurate time. I've owned larger machines with clocks that always seemed to gain or lose time. This machine has always been accurate for me. One drawback is the button design. If you bump the hour or minute buttons, you've just changed the clock. It'd be nice to see a dedicated clock set button (like the timer set button) that you hold down to change the time. Also, the indicator light goes OFF when the timer is set to ON. That's kind of backwards, isn't it? Regardless of ergonomics, it works... and I enjoy waking up to the smell of fresh coffee each morning. There is no permanent filter included, so paper filters will be your only option unless you purchase a basket-style, 4-cup permanent filter separately. The only other aspect that falls short is its lack of a water level window. Solution: just use the markings on the carafe when filling the machine with water. All in all, it's a great little machine for the casual coffee drinker. If it broke today, I'd definitely buy the same model tomorrow!
