Its a very fast and smooth phone I enjoy being able to add Xtra storage. For the days I used Its a Great Phone
Amazing phone for the price!
I bought this as a first phone for my daughter but would gladly use it myself if I needed a new phone. The photo quality is surprisingly good and Spotify music sounds great through its speaker. For the price it's a steal. No need to spend hundreds on a phone, this one is fantastic! Great job Motorola!
Unlocked version is a great deal
This is every bit as good as my Samsung J7 but half the price. The T Mobile version is $45 more, comes in an ugly gold, and doesn't have a fingerprint reader. This unlocked version is definitely the way to go.
Love it. The only problem I had at first, was with the finger sensor. It takes some time to get used to. Other than that, no problems at all.
The Moto 4
I had a Moto 3 that got dropped in paint thinner. Things started going haywire after a couple of months,so I went for the Moto 4. Nice!!
Could use better quality control
A good value, but mine was defective: when it got warm from use or charging, parts of the screen would become insensitive, and then it displayed the "ghost click" problem, as if a ghost was randomly touching the screen. I'm returning it and have ordered a replacement.
Sound quality of callers voice is not that good Speaker is not loud enough.
Keep your fingers crossed.
I am sure the phone is just fine if it was UNLOCKED! Which it was not and am in the return process which will be too late to save my service. So not happy. What I got wasn't what I paid for and ended up costing me way more than the price of the phone.

PHONE IS NOT UNLOCKED, IT IS PRE-PAID VERIZON ONLY
Unfortunately, this phone is NOT unlocked! It is a "pre-paid" phone and you will have to open a Verizon cell phone account. The cheapest plan they offer is $30.00 monthly plus tax. You only get 30 MG Data usage under this plan. You will also have to pay a $35.00 ACTIVATION fee (the fee can be waived "if" you sign up for 6 months). NO CONTRACTS since it's a pay-as-you-go sort of thing! The drawback is you will NOT be able to use this particular phone with any other carrier except VERIZON! If you decide you do not want to keep this phone and would prefer to RETURN it...you will have to pay the shipping
Good phone in general
OK so i bought the phone on X-mas its a really good phone don't get me wrong but it scratches to easy. The reason i say this is cause i like to keep my phones for a while and in as good as a condition as they can be so ya it is probity an older gen
Decent hardware, I dislike Android
The Moto E4 is my first Android phone. The hardware is pretty nice but I am not crazy about the placement of the volume control. It's pretty easy to change the level inadvertently and silence it altogether and then not hear when you get a call or text.
However, my big complaint is with how incredibly intrusive Google gets with this phone. I don't know if this holds true for all Android devices but I almost got rid of it just because I couldn't get rid of Google Assistant. I still can't.
It's pretty hard to figure out how to disable it in the settings. But once you do, it keeps waking up. Restart your phone or hold your finger on the home button too long and a box pops up asking you to turn it back on. And if you're not paying attention, you can do it accidentally by touching the wrong spot. Checking the settings will show that it's still (supposedly) disabled. If I go through the trouble to turn off Assistant, it should stay off until I go back into the settings to activate it.
Most of you won't care about this. You don't value your privacy and you choose to trade it away for convenience. I feel differently. For people who feel like I do, this phone represents a big compromise. You may be better off with Apple but they have their own issues that one can find objectionable.
very annoying file transfer commands are required.
My old Motorola simply required that I plug a USB cord into my computer and I could transfer files. This phone requires that I swipe it down from the top of the page. Then press the settings gear at the top of the page.
Then scroll way down to a long menu to find and press developer options.
Then switch to USB status from media transfer protocol to charging. Then connect the USB cable.
Then switch USB to media transfer protocol.
Only then can I transfer files via the USB cable to another device.
Hello... this phone is very good product, the battery is full time day and when charge, is very fast, 1 hour, 10 minutes of 10% to 90%, less to 1% per minute. In camera always is rapid to take photo, but sometime is out of focus. I recommended to all.
A fantastic budget phone for basic needs
I have basic needs from my phone: calls, texting, some apps. I don't play games so don't need a fast processor. The camera is fine in good lighting. For serious photos, I still use a real camera. The battery life is great. With only light use, it goes days without needing a charge. What I really like is after the battery inevitably starts failing, I'll be able to get a new battery for cheap and not have to buy a new phone. Getting it activated on my Verizon account was easy. I went to a Verizon wireless store and got a free sim card and it was ready to use in < 5min.
This is a remarkable phone for the price! The phone is quite snappy with the snapdragon425.Great clean crisp display, fingerprint scanner on front.Has front facing speaker, thank God!Phone feels well built. Like the nano water resistant coating, gorilla glass 3.Motorola put a lot into this phone for the price! Was a loyal LG customer for years.I am not bahing LG but Motorola builds a better phone.Buy this phone you will not be disappointed! Way to go Moto.zYou have a happy new customer.
I like this phone about 95%. The only reason it gets docked is because it refuses to connect with one of my Gmail emails. I cannot figure out why; tech support cannot figure out why. There is a small glitch with the Bluetooth, but I honestly think that's my car instead of the phone. Other than that, I love the apps, the personalization, how smooth it is, the fingerprint scanner, the camera, the ease of setup, the look, the feel, the battery life - all of it. Now if only I could get my work email to sync...
THIS PHONE SUCKS
My mom got me this phone about a year ago, and I absolutely hate it. Within a few months I shattered my screen. The glass on the phone is not very strong. My phone glitches every 5 minutes and I'm not even exaggerating. Don't give this to your kid, please I'm begging you. The phone sucks and you might think that I'm just a little kid writing this because I'm mean and hate the phone. No I'm actually a great person and yes I do hate the phone because it's so bad and aren't people supposed to like phones? Well anyway, just don't get this phone.
Have had the phone about 2 weeks and love it so far, replaced a droid mini I had for many many years, if your looking for a basic android smart phone (it is running nougat 7.1.1 so its not that basic) this is a perfect choice.....if you want fancy features, top of the line camera etc etc look at some of the others.
This phone is LITERAL trash
I have had this phone for a year and all I have to say is that it has performed horribly. First of all, I can take better quality pictures with a potato. This phone won't send me any of my emails of notifications for any app. Updating happens to be very difficult. This customer is gone. This is why iPhones are better
