User Friendly Android Tv Box
This review is for the Jetstream 4K Ultra HD Android TV Box with Voice Search Remote - Compatible with Google Assistant. I found the directions to be very good for an easy set up. We set this up on our tv in less than five minutes. We are really enjoying the voice search remote feature. The android TV box has also enabled our TV to do Netflix which it could not before. Impressive amount of free trials that come with this. HDMI cable was included. Supports 4K Ultra High definition, and features a high performance Quad-core CPU, and a 3+2 Core GPU that makes gaming faster. This is a big plus with my kids. We are loving this Jetstream 4K Ultra HD Android TV Box, and highly recommend to everyone.
Loved it so much I bought another.
Haven't had time to set it up and sign into all my streaming apps yet. I assume it works, just as well as my previous one did. Unsure as to why this item is no longer carried at my local store. The GUI best mimics the firestick but there are no navigation issues with the current versions of streaming programs as there are with newer versions of Android TV boxes. That is the main reason I purchased this specific model over all others available. Also found this box is made by ematic... I'll bet the ematic Android TV box is the same as this one.
Perfect media center
Great product with the easiest installation and setup possible. Great quality and low energy use!
Great device and features
This is one of the best devices I have used. Got this actually for my mom but of course she cannot use it. I set it all up and netflix is faster on this than on my 75inch tv.
Jetstream 4K Ultra HD Android TV Box with Voice Se
The voice activated remote is completely user friendly.i thought i would be having to go through a setup process for it.But TOTALLY did NOT.AWESOME!And it so far has matched everything i have said word for word.It has very simple installation instructions and also comes with USB and memory card slot you can use to play your own media. It gives you recommended and popular app suggestions to download which i thought were "right on" for a goid start, especially for people that are familiar with "smart tv's". The one thing that i did notice though is that i basically had to download one app at a time.Otherwise they would just keep showing as pending.I am not sure if that has to do with the type of internet connection you have, mine was through my phone hotspot. But that did make it more time consuming than i woukd have liked.
Decent Android TV
decent Android TV box I have a Nvidia shield TV in my living room that has so much power this jet stream box is alright no sign the company is going to push updates yet after a testing for a few weeks this thing lags even after a factory reset it has trouble streaming from my nap server that's less than 75 feet away via Ethernet I have gig speed broadband and still lags only on this device I only bought this for the kids room to use hdhomerun to get channels from our cable card for the kids those streams lag bad the display on this device will keep going on and off on and off if there was a company website for this device I would send a logcat to them I think I'll buy the new mi box s to replace this mi usually updates their boxed even if they're slow but they do update them I'll give it higher rating if a update comes or I figure this issue out
Unimpressed by this product
I want to start this review by stating that I received it for free in exchange for my honest opinion. I say that because I truly don't like giving mediocre reviews and I do my best to give every product I receive for review the benefit of the doubt. That said...here goes:
I have several years under my belt with using SmartTVs and Roku devices, etc. The setup of this was scarily easy. And by scarily I mean that it connected to my Google account and did absolutely everything automatically - I didn't even have to type in my WiFi password, Netflix password, etc. That type of automatic permissions makes me a bit uneasy.
Once connected, the device itself works well and the picture is good.
Here's my big gripes and why I'm only giving three stars: The pre-installed apps does not include Amazon Prime and it will not find that app in the GoogleApp/Play store to download/install. Also, despite messing with the settings/configuration multiple times, this thing is not only powering on by itself (and displaying a screen saver) when I'm not near it, but it's also powering on my TV and changing the input so it will be on the screen. This morning, my TV came on at 2am and startled me awake...and I've been awake ever sense. Ain't nobody got time for that! My remotes are stored in my nightstand so nothing was accidentally pushed or triggered to cause this other than the device itself.
Also of note, the "top listed/most popular" apps includes Al Jeezera America TV, which apparently only operated from 2013-2016.
If you have never had a SmartTV or Roku-type device, you might really enjoy this, but for me, after trying it, I have never loved my Rokus and SmartTVs more. I know this device is supposed to offer more features, but I found nothing to keep me using it over my other Smart devices. I can screen cast to my TVs from my phone/tablet, voice search via my phone and/or Roku, and hopefully sleep through the night once this device is unplugged and hidden away in a drawer. :(
Sometimes it will not connect to the Internet and you have to turn it on and off 10 times or more and then I unplug it to get it to work has a glitch in it somewhere shows it has Internet connection but it does not it has been that way since the beginning
review of the 4K Ultra HD Android TV box
I find this product to be fairly straightforward to setup and use. it does everything that the box says it does plus more. set up was fairly easy. straightforward just follow the simple directions when you first turn it on. overall I'm fairly happy with the product.
Neat tool for TV
Who is little TV boxes loaded with freebies the starch out so you can try them out see if you like them there was Voodoo Hulu Netflix you're like an HBO Go that came with $80 worth of stuff to help you get through and kind of to select what you looking for like it's a lot of fun fun little box if you don't have cable and you're looking for a less expensive way of cutting out the internet Cable Guy's I would recommend high-speed internet though just for the buffering and stuff like that I have 500 Megs so and it worked fine not a lot of offering those are some of the highlights I'm a big HBO I like movies and stuff like that so I tried out the HBO GO it's kind of nice you can pick and chose the shows that you want to watch at time you want to watch him you'll have to wait to record and all that stuff also I've been that Flex for years and I love the ranch so it's kind of fun I could go back and catch up on some of those episodes
Jetstream 4K Ultra HD Android TV Box
The Jetstream Android TV box is a decent performing TV box. It's capable of Ultra High Definition (4k), but I am unable to comment on that because I don't have UHD TV. However, the picture quality on a standard HD TV was very good. The box has the requisite HDMI output to connect to HD devices, along with twin standard USB-A ports, an ethernet network connection port, a slot for SD cards, and an audio jack (3.5mm). For network connectivity, in addition to the previously mentioned RJ45 network port, it also features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The unit comes with a power adapter and it's a simple two cable connection to get up and running. With the power and HDMI cables connected, and the box turned on, it begins a basic setup procedure. First up is pairing it with the included remote. Next, it will ask if you want to sign in with your Android/Google credentials from your phone. If you say yes, it will pair with your phone, import your WiFi connection information, and then present you with a list of apps that are TV box appropriate, and you can check or uncheck any you don't want. Also displayed are the apps that are already built into the box (which can't be unchecked) so will be on your menu, even if you never use them. For the apps it does import, it will also bring you user information and password. Apps such as Google Play Store account, Netflix, YouTube, MLB-TV, etc, all will function. If you choose not to have it import your phone/tablet info, it then goes through Wi-Fi network setup, after which you can start downloading and installing apps. The box has a few interesting and useful features, such as google assistant which lets you control it with you voice. Another feature that is has is built in Chromecast, so if you have a device and content you want to cast to your TV, this box will let you do it without additional hardware. You can also plug in and play any content you might have on SD cards, or USB drives. Some users have commented on freezing during play back, but I have not seen this problem yet. Granted, I don't have a bunch of hours of watching, and trying different streaming sources, so I can't truly say that it's not a problem. The box comes pre-loaded with several free apps like You Tube and Pandora, but also subscription services like Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, HBO-Now, Sling and Showtime. Several of these also have free limited time trial offers included, so you can try before you buy. Lastly, this box comes running the latest version of Android (8.0/Oreo), which is surprising for a TV box. I'm not familiar with the update cycle for Android on peripheral devices, so I don't know if it's anything that will be done in the future. If not, al least the version included will be several years from abandonment. All things considered, this is a decent box with enough features and ease of use that make it a good choice for first time Android TV box buyers.
Really good tv box. good quality box and remote.
Jetstream TV Streaming
Wanted a device to hook up to my TV that would stream Netflix and Disney +. This device replaced my 1st generation Apple TV and I am never going back. My entire family has Androids which works seamlessly with this device. We never have to worry about losing the remote because there is an Android TV app which mimics all of the functions of the physical, Google Assistant remote which comes with it. Setup took about 2 minutes. Forget about typing in your searches. Just say, "Hey Google" and it will type for you. Also, the functions of the Chromecast are built in so that you can stream the content on your phone to your TV. For the price, this device is phenomenal and I highly recommend it to anyone who has Android devices!
GRADE A GARBAGE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
This Android TV is pure garbage it did work for about a month then started having issues such as it disconnects from wifi constantly and it also now restarts on its own. I've also emailed their so called customer support i have not heard anything back from them in days. "DO NOT BUY " "WASTE OF YOUR MONEY"
Choose This Over the MiBox S!
Great Product! Ease of use is seamless!
Setup was easy. Added a few apps from the play store. Streaming Netflix and all seems well.
You get what you pay for
Not a bad streaming device right out of the box. My biggest gripe is it seems to stream better wired over Wi-Fi and after about a year of owning it the ethernet port seems to sporadically act up. A quick unplug
4K ULTRA HD ANDROID TV BOX
I purchased this device to have YouTube TV as my Sony Bravia smart TV had preloaded apps and wouldn't allow to download from google store. I did some research and found a link for this product. I could get it reasonable priced at Walmart. I read through the instructions first, but wouldn't have had to do that as the screen walked you through the entire process. Initially I couldn't locate the YouTube TV app. However, I simply asked the device via the remote control, to download YouTube TV app...which it did for me! Absolutely love. It's easy to use. I could even teach my husband in about 20-30 seconds! Will buy for another room in the house as well!!
A streaming box that is being sold, at Walmart, should at least make sure that the device plays movies on the Walmart-owned Vudu app, properly. I bought this, yesterday, and set it all up, with all of my streaming apps, and the only app that was not working right was Vudu, which was the real reason i bought it. When I tried to stream movies, that I purchased, on Vudu, the app would only allow the films to be played in SD (standard definition). Almost all of my movies are either HDX or 4K. I tried changing cables, resetting device, re-installing the app, etc. Nothing worked. All other apps on the device work fine, except for Vudu. I finally gave up, and returned it, and bought another Nvidia Shield. I had high Hope's for this device, but no HD on Vudu was a deal-breaker. Also, reviews, online, state that this device uses the latest version of Android. it doesnt. it uses version 8.
