If you want a coated, cast iron Dutch Oven and don't want to spend a lot of $$ (compared to others on the market), this product may be for you. In terms of cooking, one cast iron oven, regardless of what you pay, is as good as another in terms of results. The things to consider, however, are weight, the handles (easy to grasp with gloves on) and the appearance. Weight: this oven is very heavy compared to the more expensive ones. Appearance: the oven looks okay, however, the finish of the oven turned opaque after one use (i.e. oddly, only the lid). This does not impact the food quality, it just looks bad. Handles: compared to more expensive ovens, the handles are not great. The side handles are too small and the handle on the lid is already loose and will not stay tight. Should you buy this? It is up to you. Will I keep it? Yes. Would I buy it again? No.
