I bought two of these about a month ago for my two kids for Christmas (2 and 7). They both know how to use my smartphone, and quite frankly, I was tired of them always begging to use it, arguing over it, etc. Last year, I bought a "kid tablet" for my then 6-year-old (Innotab). It proved to be a waste because he was used to using my phone, and it definitely didn't compare. My 2-year-old uses it on occasion now, but even he gets frustrated with it. I paid $100 for that, plus all the apps (none are free), game cartridges, etc -- way more than I spent on these. This year, I decided to just go ahead and buy "real" tablets that I could load up with all the free apps they love. I bought these for $49 a piece. I haven't had any issues with it that others have mentioned -- they work fine, WIFI has no issues, battery life is not excellent but also not terrible (it says you only get 4 hours, and I would say that's pretty accurate), and while it's not the fastest responding tablet ever, I haven't found it to be excessively slow either. I've been messing with both of them since they came to get them ready for Christmas, and have had no issues. They are a bit on the heavier side, which I worry about for my 2-year-old, but we bought a rubberized case for his. Because these were so cheap, it won't be a huge heartache if my kids eventually destroy them. Overall, I would say this is a GREAT tablet for kids or people who only need it for minimal usage. Personally, I would not spend money on this for myself. I would want something with more battery life, more memory, faster processing, etc. Just consider WHO you are buying this for when you purchase it.
