Made spaghetti and meat sauce upon receiving this cookware and was surprised at the evenness of cooking the hamburger straight away. Cooking should not be rushed and hurried through as an after thought but done purposefully and with care, as it's time well spent for the loved ones you share your meals with. So by using medium heat we believe this cookware will last a long time.
Looking at the shiny silver and copper pots and pans on my stove top made my kitchen look updated and contemporary. I can see myself in the shiny surfaces as I wash and dry these by hand. If not water spots taint the beautiful finish.
Hubby got a little carried away scrambling eggs one day and I soaked for hours and tried using a 'for-teflon-surface' scrubber, but it wouldn't move. Mind you the egg was not burnt on the surface but the still bright yellow glue was well adhered to it LOL - I took a piece of stainless steel scrubber and with a touch that mother's know about, I managed to remove that darned baked on egg! Looked like new when I got done too! :) - Surface was not harmed.
I also liked the fact that the handles don't seem to absorb the heat from the pot or skillet, such a plus when managing more than one pot on the stove. It's true that the cookware is a bit thin, however, if managed properly and hand cared for, this collection will give you years of service beyond the costs you paid.
I am a happy cook.
