An enjoyable fun old movie.

It's not Masterpiece Theater, but it is a very fun very enjoyable movie with a pretty decent cast, at least the main characters, and after not having seen it in decades it was very fun to watch and I will be watching it again.

Crude

I originally saw this on TV a long time ago. It wasn't laced with profanity and vulgar at times like this. It's sweet at times, but that really doesn't balance out the negative aspects of it. It's too bad that what could be a good movie is largely spoiled by unnecessary crudeness. Not recommended.

    Pg, fun movie

    Liked this show when it came out years ago, and thought my husband and I would enjoy seeing it again. We did! It's a crazy, funny, story of a mermaid who falls in love with a man. Entertainment for the whole family.

    Spectacular

    This one is without doubt too cool to pass up. A visual feast from beginning to end. A marvaluse watch for all fans of comedy, romance, adventure, and, of course, fantesy. Full of wonderful performances from a cast of personal favorites. Yes complete with a few questionable sceens, but so not raunce. A movie well worth the watch.

    I love Tom Hanks! There needs to be more movies of him. Splash was my favorite movie until Castaway came along. But the first time I watched Splash was when I was 5 yrs old. And Ive loved this movie ever since. Theres some sentimental parts about the movie but it can also make you laugh as well! My little niece, whos 8 yrs old will love this. Thank You!

    One of the movies that is an all-time classic and it's so romantic which I love!! John Candy brilliant. May he rest in peace and love him! So many amazing stars in this film that there's too many to mention. They're all brilliant, they're all amazing. And it's so romantic and funny. No CGI will ever replace great dialogue... this was real special effects too... Done the hard way!

    Disappointed

    I love Tom Hanks and had never seen this movie previously. I was disappointed in the movie because of the story line and was not impressed with the role Daryl Hannah had to play.
