I'd purchase it again!
If you have a balance problem, and you want to get out and ride trike, this is the one for you. l love it. All parts were there, easy to assemble, and a joy to ride. This is a street bike and takes some adjusting to the steering, but I do enjoy it.
Exactly what I was expecting
Mobo Triton Pro arrived with all the parts and tools (pedals were already on front wheel which was nice). I watched the assembly video on youtube a couple of times before the trike arrived and it made assembly much easier. Many years ago I had a beach trike, so I kind of knew what to expect from this trike. The fact that this trike is rider adjustable and my old one wasn't, makes a big difference. I rode it around the neighbor hood and this trike was exactly what I was hoping it would be (fun and simple). I'm 62 years old. I had quadruple bypass surgery 9 months ago, I also have 12 screws in my neck from a motorcycle accident(almost 5 years ago). So I needed a simple trike that was easy to ride and maintain. This Mobo Triton Pro Trike is it.
The bike looks great - Gets lots of attention, everyone wants to know where to get one. It adjust to different size people very easily. The two handles steer the rear wheels & has a hand brake. Only down side of the bike is it has a wide turning radius & you can not peddle it in reverse - It comes with a flag on a long stick for safety, so it is easier to be seen. I got it for my grandson because he just couldn't ride a 2 wheeler. He is 5'6" and I could have gotten the kids bike that is $100 cheaper. But I decided to get the bigger one as it has a larger front wheel & will go faster.(his mother is riding it too & now she wants one). This is a single speed bike. When you are peddling it and you stop peddling, it does free wheel, so you can cost without taking your feet off the pedals. Walmart does assemble the bike for free. The stores in my area do not stock these and you have to order online (free shipping) - I received it in 4 days, took it to customer pick up & dropped it off to them. They said it may a couple of days & they will call me when ready - 4 hours later I got a call to pick it up.
Just for strolling
I needed a bike with no frills. Just a simple design to hit the trails around town. The Triton pro is easy to assemble, maintain, and adapt. I would suggest adding reflective tape and tail lights (both available at Walmart) to increase your visability during rides. It is a cruiser. So, don't expect to break any speed records or tackle rough terrain. My 6 year old wants one, but he is just below the height requirement for the Triton.
This bike is awesome. I bought this for my 10 yr old niece who has balance/focus problems so attempting to ride 2 wheel bike was too hard & frustrating for her. She kept asking me, please help me learn to ride a bike. I showed her these bikes & she said get I get one, they look so cool ! Well, she told me it was the best christmas present she got. She absolutely loves it, it moves fast and steering it is not a problem at all. She has been on it everyday since she got it !!!
7 years strong with my Triton!
I purchased my Triton 7 years ago and have loved it ever since I got to assemble it! In the first year, I noticed some things that needed attention. I built an adjustable steering linkage so that I could align the rear wheels better to make the tires last longer. I built a basket to fit a lunch bag cooler to carry ice and water for those long trips. I custom built a seat so that my rear could handle those long trips! I added my MP3 player and a speaker. I installed some outdoor LED lights for a street glow effect, and mounted a flashlight on the front fender because I am a Knight Rider :P The bearings have held up well. All the nuts and bolts have kept in place without the use of Loctite. Once I put in puncture-resistant innertubes and puncture-shields, I have not had a flat tire since! I typically ride between 3 and 4 hours at a time. It is a great eye-catcher and very mellow for riding. I have put on over 10,000 miles so far!!! I will ride this until the wheels fall off!! :) :)
I read the various conflicting reviews and will try to reconcile them. this has one major flaw that accounts for many complaints. That is, the rod connedting the steering for the two back wheels is too long on the one i got. It is possible that it was the wrong part, but unlikely. The distance between the rims on the forward side was 1 inch greater than that on the back side. this caused incredible wear on the backtires, five miles and you could see the difference. going over fine grit on a paved road, you could hear the grit grinding under the tires instead of rolling over it. this is not adjustable by intent. But, you can take the bar off and put a bend in it, so it is bent to the back, to shorten it. the ends are universal joints so this will not matter. It took about 4 bends and unbends to adjust it perfectly. when finished, the middle of the rod was bent out to the rear somewhere around an inch. Keep doing this till rims measured on the forward side are the same as on the back side. on mine the effect of the misalignment is that it did not tend to coast, just started slowing immediately. now i can hardly keep up with it as it freewheels ahead of my pedaling. this explains the excessive tire wear. it is sturdy, good paint job, one speed, coasts. probably not good to rack it, ie go across something that twists the frame. frame parts fit snugly and do not wobble.. be prepared to get laughed at, and envied. mildly robust pedaling gets you about 4 mph. pedaling faster than that would be a real trial, getting your feet going that fast. I do not hate this machine, i like it. gave it a one star so you wouild read this. if i had not fixed it, i would hate it. if you cant fix it, do not buy it. a simple threaded end that is adjustable would solve this problem. mobo, are you paying attention.
Very disappointed. When son
This is a child not adult bike. The bike is extremely low to the ground and hard for an adult to sit in. If you need to return you cannot return through a Walmart store and it must be in the original box. Walmart employees will only give you the number of the original vendor and a lot of expressions of sorry. Totally unacceptable buying and maintenance experience. DO NOT BUY!
NOT a good purchase.
I bought this for my 13year old. We took it out a handle full of times and the tires keep going flat. Today we got stuck on a bike ride with a flat tire that completely came off the rim. DONT BUY unless you want a huge headache and a piece of metal sitting in your garage.
Your legs get a good workout for sure. Having to work up to going longer each time. Having no gears dose make it a little harder. But over all good bike for flat surface.
Good quality, everything I expected.
Nicely built and appears very sturdy. Seems perfect for my Autistic son who is 22. Would like to see an adjustable hand brake as it is a little difficult to grasp for small hands.
I wish I could get one!
It's fun & it is good for exercise. It will get you outside to go play and run!
Love this for my 7 year old son!
Great fun! Keeping him off the computer !
Not your average bicycle be different
It's pretty fun for a little while the gearing is kind of low I turned it into my second E bike this year one orange and one blue
Great trike, easy to assemble and awesome comfy ride!!
Three Wheel Cruiser
The wheel crank was put the wrong side at the factory. The assembly directions show the crank on the incorrect side. Once the bike was put together, it would only pedal in reverse. The front wheel had to be removed and the crank put on the correct side per the pictures that come with the bike. After the wheel was put back on, the brake right brake pad became stuck in the closed position. Needless to say, I have not been able to ride the bike at all. Rather than return the bike, we will try to fix the brake.
I like how easy it is to ride. Putting together not so much. However, it arrived within a week
not for adults
NOT a good bike for adults take to much space to turn around, can go up inclines front wheel just spins, hard to get in and out of it.
Customer service above and beyond
I had to replace a tire on my bike. Bike shops were charging a lot of money. I contacted Robo and they explained my purchasing options and sent me a link to the webpage with the needed information. They also gave me a link to a You Tube video with instructions on how to replace the tire. I was able to accomplish the task and paid less than $40.
