I bought this bra after my Aunt suggested it following breast reduction surgery. I have never been comfortable wearing a bra. Previously I wore a 42DDD. I chose this Genie bra in a 2X and I cannot believe the comfort. I have already machine washed it & it did fine in the washer. The only negative is the styling of the front. It comes up a bit high, so if I wear a lower cut top, the bra can be seen. I plan to buy more of them.
The Genie Bra is a nice bra, but the Genie Bra (LACE Bra) sold in Walmart stores is not a good purchase at $9.98. The bra itself is a very comfortable bra, but you do need to try it on to get your fit correct. The modesty pads ARE NOT machine washable, are made of Tricot, and are not thick/substantial (they are thin and flexible). You hand wash these or they fall apart. The bra itself is good quality material, but 'the lace' on the 'in store' version is not good quality. The bra says machine wash/tumble dry. BUT, the elastic in the lace falls apart in the washer and you end up with what looks like 'kitty whiskers' sticking out of the bra. The normal Genie Bra without lace is probably fine to purchase as a good bra for everyday wear, but I would avoid the lace version (sold in stores). I called the company and told them about the poor quality of the lace and it falling apart in the wash and told them where it was sold. The CSR stated the bra should be taken back to Walmart. Also, Genie Bra does not tell on the box how to put on the bra, so people who are buying this may not be happy trying to go over their head and pull it down like a sports bra. But, this is not the correct way to put the bra on. YOU STEP INTO THE BRA AND PULL IT UP FROM YOUR FEET TO YOUR CHEST. THEN YOU SLIP THE STRAPS OVER YOUR ARMS INTO PLACE. This also works with sports bras so you don't get that rolled up mess which you cannot get tangled up in. Hope this helps others! :)
