OK, except that it sucks in HOT outside air in.
Customer review by AirConditionerGuy
The unit produces very cold air - about 25 degrees cooler than the ambient temp in the room. That is where the pros end.
Even on its lowest fan setting it is much louder than a window unit. However the real problem is that the unit sucks outside air into the house. While the dual hose system is supposed to only suck in air to cool the condensor and then expel that hot air out the other hose, that is not what happens. I immediately noticed that the unit created a negative vacuum in the room that it was in: In was expelling more air than it was taking in via the intake hose. A call to Whynter customer service confirmed that this was normal operation.
While sucking in a little outside air would have been ok, it is very conterproductive on a 95 degree day out!
The Walmart return experience went very well.
