I've never had a dehumidifier except for the basement. It's been so humid this year that I cannot stand it. I have skin itch problems which have been attributed to humidity. I recently learned that humidify can assail the body in all kinds of ways. Issues like overweight, swollen knuckles and joints, and stress can all be results of too much humidity entering and accumulating in the body. I travelled abroad a few weeks ago in a relatively dry country, and I came back with such good skin that my friends all marveled at it. In the past week of humidity back home, I started scratching again. The long and short: I want to control the humidity in my living area. I brought home this Hisense machine a few days ago. Oh my god, the digital panel shows that the humidity level in my house was 74. I turned on the machine - super easy - and watched the number go down. I emptied the bucket twice day (I could connect a hose, but I haven't. I enjoy using the water to wash my drive way.), and now my house is at the good level of 40 - 50 in humidity. You guessed right: my skin don't itch, and I sleep so well. Even though it is 80 degrees in the house, it is fairly comfortable without the dampness.
so far it's operating flawlessly and setup was a snap. I would be interested in seeing how I feel about it next summer. I reuse the water for plants so the Ionizer is a plus.
Solid construction. Extracts moisture from the air at rapid rate.
Easy controls. Only thing that would have been better is if the
fan shut off when the compressor is not running.
