Gillette Mach3 Men's Razor -Just Right!
This product is so good it makes me feel I've been shaving the wrong way all my life! Its delicately curved to fit perfectly in my hand and its ergonomically balanced handle applies just the right direction, control, and pressure to the blades for a clean, smooth, close shave with no irritation. This close shave is aided by a plastic strip that gently stretches the skin and a lubrication strip that really works. The blades stay just as sharp as the first shave after many uses and they rinse cleanly with little effort. I've tried more blades and less but the Mach3 is just the right amount of blades and they are spaced just right. You can tell a lot of thought went into the development of this product. Well done! I wholeheartedly stand behind the Gillette Mach3 Men's Razor and wholeheartedly recommend you try one to upgrade your shaving experience. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Mach3 is greet!
I think that the Mach3 is a very good shaver. The handle was the perfect weight, not to heavy, not too light. The blades did the job excellently and felt very comfortable and glided over my face smoothly without cutting. The shave was close, comfortable, and quick. I spent less time than usual shaving because this shaver got it right the first time. I was surprised at how close the shave was. My skin was super soft after the shave, and the shaver has lasted me a few uses so far without dulling. I'll definitely be making the switch. Outstanding results! Great shave, the best a man can get!
This is the first time I've used a Gillette triple blade swivel razor and I have to say I was extremely impressed! The action was smooth and it followed every contour of my face, chin and neckline. After cleanup my stubble was gone on the first pass. Compared to my previous brand of razor (single blade, plastic handle), I didn't need to go over the same areas of my neck or chin to remove whiskers that it missed the first time. The triple blade and the amazing angular rotation of the shavers head gets it all on the first pass. In conclusion this is one of the best shavers I've ever tried and I encourage everyone to be their own critic and see if you agree! I give it a high 5 and a big thumbs up. Three blades is all you need
In the world of Quattro blades I found myself asking, will 3 blades be enough? After a weekend without shaving I was ready to test out the Mach 3 against my stubble. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I expected to be underwhelmed coming from my "Quattro" however I was quickly converted. I loved the smaller size if the 3 blade design, it got the hard to reach areas better than the chubky 4 blade razors. It was a smooth shave, no pulling or snagging. I look forward to cleaning my face off again with it tomorrow morning. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Love the razor !!
I really like to shave with this razor , The 3 blades makes it so simple to shave with . It only takes me about 5 minutes to shave my head and goatee ! The grip of the handle is light and free and is easy to use . It's not heavy to use . It give me a clean shave everytime I shave ! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Gillette's Mach3 Men's Razor has been the best razor that I've had the pleasure of using. The three blades help me get an extremely close shave, while the lubrication strip helps to keep the shave smooth and sharp. I really enjoyed using this razor, and know that this will be my go-to razor from now on. Would highly recommend to anyone that enjoys a close, clean shave. I'm fairly picky when it comes to my razor blades, so I was pleasantly surprised when I tried out the Gillette Mach3 razor. The pivoting head maintains an even shave without nicks and cuts, and the 3 blades with the lubricator strip keep my face and neck from becoming irritated. I've used the razor a handful of times, and the Mach3 has kept its precision. One pass does the trick with this razor! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Good but not great razor
The Gillette Mach3 provided a very good shave, however to achieve a really close shave I had to go over the same spots multiple times. To its credit the lubrication strip allowed me to do multiple passes without any noticeable redness or chafing. The feel of the razor seemed a bit ‘light' but that could be due to me being used to a much sturdier and heavy razor. As for the longevity of the blades, I have used it five times so far and the fifth shave seemed to do just as good a job as the first. Overall the Mach3 provided as good as or slightly better shave then comparable three blade razors. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Impressed the first time...
While I was throughly impressed by this razor on first use, I was not as impressed the second time around. The comfort of the handle is on point, and my first shave felt fabulous, especially after the last year of razor club razors. The second shave (my beard is not as thick as others) seemed like it had already deteriorated the blade and did not feel as good as the first. I have not had a chance to try it again, but if my 10th shave feels as good as my second, I will up my rating on this product. As a user of many different razors over the years, including many Gillette product (like my shaving cream!) I would say this fits the bill as average, and we shall see over time if it's "excellent" [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Mach 3 is average at best
I used the razor a couple times over the past two weeks. I thought the packaging was great. It looked elegant and I thought the razor was going to be awesome. I usually Dorco razors. Well . . . the shaving experience with Gillette's Mach 3 was pretty awful. The handle was ok. Nothing spectacular. The blades clogged and I never felt I was getting a close shave. No cuts or nicks, just rough feeling. Reminded me of the shave I would get from a cheap disposable razor. I have a fairly thick facial hair and can usually use the Dorco razors for 4-5 shaves at least. The Mach 3 isn't really any good for more than 1 or 2 uses before you need to replace the blade. The Mach 3 shave
I think Gillette Mach 3 razor is one of the better brand of razor on the market. I used the Mach 3 after a week without shaving. The Mach 3 cut through my beard with ease leaving my face nice and smooth. There were no red marks or bumps after my shave. I felt that the Gillette Mach 3 shaved my face just as close as my other 5 blade razors do. The only draw back for me was that the handle was a little small for my hands. Nice smooth shave!
Tried out the razor today, and it gave a nice and smooth shave without any nicking or discomfort. Handle fits the hand well. Glides easily on the skin. Looking forward to using it more in the next few days! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Performance that wasn't expected!
When I finally got a enough hair to try out this Mach 3, I was skeptical about how it would do. I was always under the impression of the more blades I have the better the results I would get. So I put this one to the test on my head and face to see how it would do. Well, I was totally surprised with the results I got as well as how easy it was to use. Meaning that, when I've used razors that have more blades, I spent probably more time trying to clean out the hairs stuck between the blades than I did on the actual shaving. With this one, a couple twists under some running water and it was clean and clear and back to the job. This really reduced my shaving time which was great. I also wanted to see how well the lubricating strip worked, so on the left side of my beard I used shaving cream and on the right just water and the lubricating strip. This brought about another surprise result as after I finished, the side with just water and the strip felt less sensitive to the touch than the side with the shaving cream. It also felt like it gave a closer shave with a smoother feel. As long as I kept my face and the razor wet, it slid across my beard rather easily and didn't feel like it was pulling the hairs instead of cutting them. The only drawbacks that I would mention is that the lubricating strip works well but after 1 shave of my head and face, it looks like all of the lubrication may be gone. I also would say that it is not the best for straight lines. As the head has no locking mechanism, it is quite difficult to do any edging lines of any kind. I like this 3 blade razor and the job it did on my head and how comfortable it left my face. I also made it through with no cuts or nicks anywhere! I would have to say that this Mach3 has changed my ideas that having 4 or more blades is better. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Nice razor system
Got the razor and my first impression was it was nice. Taking the razor out of the package and holding it for the first time thought it was a little thin and smaller compaired to the razor i am currently using. Has a nice rubberized grip wich makes it easy to hold even when wet and slippery from the shaving cream. The blades were nice. Gave a smooth shave and the hair cleaned out easy. LOVE THIS RAZOR
What a great shave. I got my Mach3 today and tonight, I used it to shave my head and (parts of) my face (I have a beard). This razor is so sharp it cut right through my 2 days growth with no problem. I didn't feel it pull even once. I also love that the back is open so you can fully rinse your whiskers and shave cream out of the blades so it lasts longer. I guess I'll see how many shaves this razor is good for but I believe I may be trading in my mail service razors for the Mach3. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
No razor burn!
This razor pleasantly surprised me! I wasn't expecting much from the triple blade system, but it was fantastic! It cut through my thick stubble with ease and didn't snag or cut my skin at all! The only reason I gave it a 4 is because it doesn't have a single touch up blade on the top corner for the edges. Other than that, this is a great product. Closest and comfortable shave
This razor was great! I used it for the first time the other day and it gave a quality close shave. The fact that there was no after burn or any razor burn made this a quality razor for its triple blade system. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
A close shave
The Gillette Mach 3 razor provides a good close shave when taking your time. I use the razor to shave my head (since not much hair grows there anyway). I enjoy the close shave that it provides when using. I don't like to have to shave the same spot over and over again and this razor provides a good clean look when using. Package is t that easy to open without using additional tools but razor is very sleek and stylish once open. Gillette has a great product here and I strongly recommend you give it a try! Here is how I use mine: have a cup of water ready to rinsing, put on the shave cream and after 2-3 swipes of ge razor, rinse off and repeat. If you are looking for a really good basic razor the Gillette Mach 3 is definitely what you need! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I've been using this razor for about 3 days and I have to say, WOW!! I've used disposable ones all my life and I have to say, I won't be going back. This gives a really close shave without causing the redness and discomfort that you can get from disposable razors. It's really sturdy as well, due to the fact that this is metal and not plastic. I would highly recommend you give this razor a try! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Still A Great Razor
When I first received notification I could participate in a Gillette Mach3 Razor review I thought, "what is this, 2002?". In fact, it wasn't. First introduced in 1998, the Mach3 is approaching 20 years keeping folks clean shaven. Up front, I want to admit I use a Gillette Fusion for my daily shaves, but I did use a Mach3 in the past. I was expecting a slight degradation from the Fusion's performance, and I didn't really get one over this short review period. I used the Mach3 a total of 7 times. While I use a non-Gillette brand shaving cream/lotion, I was impressed with the Mach3's ability to smoothly take my moderate daily scruff straight down to the skin. I shaved 5 times on 24 hour scruff and twice on 48 hour scruff, and it was able to provide a smooth, tight shave with no irritation. Another thing I appreciated was how simple and light the razor is (see picture compared to my Fusion). Something basic and clean was appreciated. The other demographic I believe could benefit from a Mach3 are those that are just learning to shave. Save some money, and buy this for your teenagers instead of higher priced options. It will easily handle their fuzz. That said, I haven't been able to test the limits of the cartridge's performance. I plan to use it until the cartridge needs replacing, and I depending on the results I may actually permanently switch BACK to the Mach3! The cartridges are about 30% cheaper than fusion refills, and considering I shave every day for work, that cost can add up! Even after 20 years and apparent "advancements in shaving technology" from other razors, the Mach3 still gives a terrific shave and compares well against higher priced razors. Give it a shot if you're up in the air on your razor decision. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
