I'm sure that the inventor wasn't thinking about this, but this silicone hot pad is excellent for cleaning makeup brushes. Sigma Beauty recently released a makeup cleaning glove but it has a $40 price tag. I bought this in the hopes that it would work just as well. It did! Wet the pad and the brush, add the cleanser to the pad, swirl your dirty makeup brush on the pad and watch all the makeup build up wash away. I have been telling all my fellow beauty bloggers and makeup lovers about this wonderful item. Get you and save yourself $36.
I bought two of these and can't say enough about them. They are fantastic. I don't recommend them for anything over 450 because you start to feel the heat. Not bad enough to burn but time to put pot down! I do recommend them as they are true in their description of repelling the heat. Good product. Good price. A definite purchase.
Can't say enough about this product, and intend to buy more - not only for myself, but as a wedding gift, as well.
One of the biggest advantages is this: Too often when one removes a liquid-y casserole from the microwave or oven, it is so easy for your fabric pot holder to absorb the liquid, resulting in high risk of being scalded. These silicone pot holders do not absorb liquid, so your tender fingers remain intact. 'Nuff said.
Great product. I've tried others This is the best for durability, flexibility, heat deflection and looks. The only complaint is the color selection. I have a hard time finding black or less neon colors.
I went to the store to get more. The colors are now teal, orange, and red, they're much firmer (likely because the 'dividers' between hexes are thicker), they're less grippy, the internal hexes are bigger, the overall size is about 1mm bigger, the hanging hole is also about 1/2-inch vs. the old, which is about 1/3-inch.
Personally, I like the old ones; I'm disappointed. The smaller internal hexes and the thinner 'walls' worked better and felt better. The design changes were probably for cost-saving, but I still paid about $4 each, same as my first round.
If anyone knows where there are some green (chartreuse) ones, please post it. I'll check back in here.
Are an excellent item, wish you carried them in all your stores in all the colors.
