my lord this is a huge net and very well made, with the telescoping handle it allows for a lot of versatility...A+
My 4 yr old Grandson loves it and so does his Dad! He's learning how to fish in CO!
This Ranger Fishing Net came in the mail very quickly. It was not damaged. The net is strong and well built. The net stands about 5 and a half feet from end to end. The handle has the button to push in order to slide and extend it then you click into the new hole. Extended it is about 7-1/2 feet long altogether with the loop being roughly 24 inches long and 24 inches at its most widest point. It has a handle made with a decent grip material at the end. The netting I believe to be nylon and quite deep enough. The diamond pattern of the netting holes - each hole 1-1/2 inch by 1-1/2 inch approx. I can reach down off a boat, pier, or break wall and land bigger fish like salmon, trout, suckers, bull heads, pike, and more quite easily. I think the net could fit and hold a 30+ pound salmon. Sure, you could find a better net for a lot more cash, but for the price I am VERY happy with this sturdy versatile fishing net.
My net is used for big blue catfish up to 25 pounds. Sometimes its is difficult to get them close to the boat. The telescopic handle gives you that extra reach to land them efficiently.
I ordered this net online. The net came in damaged. It was poorly packaged - shoved inside a card board flat box. The box was obviously bent back and forth multiple times and the junction where the net meets the handle was broken when I unwrapped it. The end of the handle was bent - so I can't even make the net longer! Very disappointing. It was inexpensive to buy. Now I know why.
