Was looking for a good vented rain suit that didn't break the bank. I tried several other brands all claiming to be "breathable," but it was like wearing a zip lock bag around you. I found this one and originally purchased the XXL, since all my other suits are that size. I'm 6'2" 250lbs with a 38wx32l pants and the XXL was waaay too big. I replaced it for the XL and it fits perfectly. I think the sizes on these run a little big. I live in Louisiana so something that stayed cool was a must. I wore this thing in 82F weather today and didn't break a sweat, it feels great. If you blow on the fabric, you can feel the air coming through the other side, so it stays cool.
The material is 100% polypropylene sprayed onto a cotton mesh backing, it sort of feels like canvas material, but not as stiff. Looks cool, stays cool, and keeps me dry so overall a great buy.
The only negative about these is the pants pockets. The jacket has its own set of pockets that zip closed, but the pants are designed so that you can put your hands in your regular pants pockets. This is all well and good, but there is no zipper on the pants pockets only 1 button. I haven't worn it in a down pour, but I suspect my pants will get a little damp around the pockets.
I commute to work on my bicycle early in the morning when it is still dark . The 2 piece Envirofit provides protection from the elements and the refelectivefeature is great for safety. It is also very comfortable. A great value. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
