The box is very impressive! Neatly packed and well organized. It contained the Headphones, connecting cord, a cleaning cloth, carry-all bag and a logo sticker. There is no manual; instead there is a pamphlet with instructions on how to “listen to music responsibly” with basic ear physiology (diagram and decibel chart included)– in 14 languages. It does, however, give the website to download the complete manual (www.MonsterProducts.com). There is also a one page paper (again, 14 languages) with something about “consumer application” and “recycling” and something about “European” … I actually couldn’t read it because the print was so small. The third pamphlet was actually useful. It contained information for Customer Service, should you have a problem with your headphones. Not including the United States, Latin America or Asia Pacific, there are 16 different phone numbers to call! There is one set of information in English, the rest contains 11 different languages. Suffice it to say, no matter what language you speak, you should be able to read the information contained within the box (although I personally found most of the information contained unnecessary). THE HEADPHONES: I absolutely love the way these fit! They are so comfortable; close fit to the head and a nice soft cup around the ear. They don’t wobble or wiggle if you bob your head around or jump up and down. Also, I wear a half carat diamond stud earring on each ear and these do not interfere at all – they don’t push the back of my earring into the side of my neck. The close fit and “suction” on the ears actually drown out most (if not all, depending on volume) of the background noise. Also, I measured the cord length – an impressive 4.5 feet! Long enough to put my iPod in my back pocket and still bust a move! And, as advertised, the cord is "tangle free" (it does take the shape of the box it was shipped in, but it does not get infuriatingly tangled in itself)! Caveat for those who are not tech savvy (I am not): Here’s where the owner’s manual will come in handy. The first time around, I had the headphone plugs reversed (in other words, according to the on-line owner’s manual, I had the end that was supposed to be plugged in to the device, plugged in to the headphones, and vice versa). This definitely adversely affects the sound quality of the headphones with some devices (notably, the Samsung Galaxy S4 – lots of static and crackling). If you are tech savvy, you probably would have figured this out sooner, since there is a button on the cord that allows you to answer your phone while you’re listening to music (I finally figured it out when testing this feature and noticed the button was waaaay at the other end of the cord, closest to the phone. That didn’t make any sense)! For testing purposes, I used the same song (“Moves Like Jagger”, by Maroon 5) on all of my devices: HP Laptop (using Media Monkey and iTunes), Apple iPod (iTunes), Samsung Galaxy S4 (using the standard built-in music app, Google Play and PlayerPro app), Apple iPhone (iTunes) and an HTC Android Phone (using standard built-in music app). THE RESULTS: AWESOME (on all devices, using all programs)! These headphones are impressive. Top notch quality. The sound is crisp and clear. The bass is incredible and allows you to really rock out to your favorite music! Overall, these are well worth the price if you really love music. WHAT I WOULD LIKE: An actual printed owner’s manual in the box, as this can be helpful to people who might not be tech savvy. The on-line version is 140 pages. It’s actually only about 10 pages with instructions and warranty information and, you guessed it, 10 different languages.
