I got this for $799 ($870 with tax) and am absolutely happy about it. The 3D quality is amazing. I'm not a videophile and don't have a lot of experience watching 3D movies on home TVs. The 3D images on this TV pop-up about 10 feet out of the TV. I expected to see depth, but didn't expect to see this much coming out of the TV, an absolute pleasure and even my wife stopped complaining about my purchase after she watched her first 3D movie :) If I MUST talk of a negative, that would be the lack of Wi Fi connectivity. But that really doesn't matter as long as you pick a Blu-ray player that has Wi Fi connectivity. The Sony Blu-ray player that I bought from Sam's club ($88) makes up for that deficiency (I think it's this one not 100% sure http://www.amazon.com/Sony-BDP-S590-Blu-ray-Player-Wi-Fi/dp/B006U1YUZE). Again, this is NOT a smart TV, but my Blu-ray player has web apps and makes up for that. This TV does have an ethernet connection. But as far as I could figure out, you couldn't go online using that. That simply gets the TV connected to your home Wi Fi and you can view computer files on the TV. We watched a few photos, may be you can watch videos also, never tried. All in all, the best gift I bought myself in years. I just wish I had more time to enjoy it, but my wife and kids make up for too :) If you see this TV for sale at $799, don't think twice, grab it! I've been tracking TV deals since thanksgiving 2011 and this is undoubtedly the best deal I saw in all those 13 months for a 55 LED TV with such high end features.
