I did my own test as usual when purchasing an item from anywhere.
I vacuumed a 16 by 20 foot room with my vacuum . . . which still has very, very strong suction. Don't get near it or you're gone!
I vacuumed slowly with it so that I could really see the true difference that this new Trilogy 81M9 would make.
As you know that vacuuming slowly insures cleaner strokes. After my rest, I used the Trilogy 81M9. OMG! I emptied the container 2ce !!!
My old friend had left all that pet hair and DUST behind!
I live in the Sequoia National Forest, so . . . I Got Dust! Since my old vacuum has that powerful suction, it must be the difference of this type of brush sweeping through the carpet. I am amazed.
My husband told me that I was going to wear out my new vacuum now. LOL.
Oh yes . . . when I turned it on, I was slightly startled because it wanted to take off with out any urging from me. I giggled a bit. I just steered it to where I wanted it to go. My box did not contain the Oxy-Pro Carpet Spot & Stain Remover. Did anyone else have this happen? And yes, when I used the furniture attachment, the hose is extremely short (for now). I guess after many, many uses to get it broken in and stretched out, it will be fine. But for now it is a big irritating inconvenience. I think I need to get some steel-toed shoes. LOL. When I vacuumed the top part of the sofa, the vacuum jumped on my toes! Think that's 25 pounds of force there! And my toes are 71 years old! LOL
I looked on Bissell, for an add on for the hose but they do not have one.
Perhaps if I stretch out the hose for several days, it may give me some slack. The hose is VERY GOOD QUALITY, so I may have to hold it down with something to keep it stretched out. All and all, this is a great vacuum. I truly love it.
