A well done movie about the importance of religious freedom in light of the Christeros movement in Mexico. If you are at all interested in understanding this documented fight for freedom to worship as your heart dictates, then read the companion book to the movie (by Ruben Quezada) to get a real solid understanding of the details of this troubling period in Mexican history. It can happen again, even here in the US. It starts with subtle changes and takes hold and can grow out of control. Never take your freedom to worship for granted.
This is an excellent film for adults down to about middle school. This is a true story of the Cristeros in Mexico with lead actors Andy Garcia and Eva Longoria. It is a bit bloody, but the story of these brave people who were marytryed for their faith is long memorable. It is truly moving to watch the movie then see at the end the photos of the real martyrs - including a young boy who is the star. He and others are being cannonized as saints for their heroism.
It.s a greate mobie. Must see it
Great movie. Even in those days people fought for Christianity, I wish that people would do the same today. Because this is what we need now a days. Thank you God!
What a relevant movie for our own time! Amazing the courage of a young man for the love of God!
Moving beyond belief.
This is a great movie. Anyone concerned about having their religious liberties taken away should watch this movie.
