Winter Cover Wow!
This is probably the fifth cover we have purchased, at least. It is definitely the most impressive. Normally during the installation process of spreading it out, dragging it across the pool, tucking it down between the pool and the deck that surrounds it, and stringing thr wire through to cinch it tight we lose a few grommets but not on this cover! And it is more impressive because we were rushing since a thunderstorm was coming. I think the material feels thicker than the covers of the same brand that I have bought previously from other online sites.
Like a tarp-keeps out sand, dirt, and bark :-)
Bought this to cover our 12 ft Intex, and had to tie down with extra cable, so won't blow away in 60 mph winds. We live in S CA desert with a backyard full of sand, and dirt that keeps blowing in pool on windy days, so much less work to do now. Most of the other pool covers had holes in to drain water, but also let bugs, sand, etc. in. This is very thin, and looks cheaply made, but for the price these days, so far so good!

This is my second purchase of this cover. After two years, the first had a 1 inch hole in the top. The hole was caused by my failure to not properly store the cover. If I would have stored in properly, I have no reason to doubt that it would have lasted for several additional years. The only complaint that I have is the winch broke during the first year. After it broke I was able to rig the winch and continue using it for the next winter. Ultimately there are better covers with better winches but this cover does the job for half the price.
Pool Cover
The cover is an oversized tarp but is well worth the price compared to a pool cover bought from a pool. The guide cable works well only thing wrong is the way you tighten the cable done is very cheaply made and it breaks easy. It is actually easier to by anchor rope and a wratched straps to tie down the cover.
Great value for the price
We have had many winter covers for our above-ground pool over the years. This one was inexpense and looks like it will do the job. We will have to see how it survives our winter, winds, and anything else before I could fully recommend it; however, even if it lasts for only this season, the price was good enough for that. It will probably last two-three years which is fine for $30-something.
Works great
The cover works great except the only flows I see is that the clamp used to pull tight the cable is a pain to use and if u are using it to cover ur pool during the summer you should make sure to take the cover off at least 30 min prior to getting in cause it can make the water vert very hot.
Poorly Made
I'm not sure if we will get more than one season out of this cover. Its poorly made. We live on the coast of NC. The sun is hot. The cover is breaking down. If I knew then, what I know now I would have gone with a better quality cover. The wench & wire that comes with it, is not user friendly. We had to use bungee cords around the pool to keep it from blowing up/away. It is way to long for a 15ft pool. As u can see from the picture below.

Good Value
I only purchased this pool cover a month ago. So I haven't had it long enough to truly provide an accuarate rating. But I can say so far so good. It came with a cable tie up. Which I find to be stronger and more durable than the basic rope option that came with the orginal pool cover that came with the pool. I would recommend this pool cover. Great value, easy and light weight to put on and off. I live in Chicago aka the Windy City and for the last month no wind has been able to shift the pool cover off. Hopefully it lasts throughout the season.
You get what you pay for!
According to the reviews, I felt this would be a great purchase for a WINTER POOL COVER......little did I know, that we would be unable to keep it on our pool. We followed the directions, that were provided, to a tee. I have attached a photo of what we deal with EVERY time the wind blows, not to mention the fact, that it has been put BACK ON at least 3 times! I extremely dissatisfied with our purchase!!
Not difficult to install.
The price was right. We have at least 2 ft. overhang on all sides around the pool, so the size is great for our 24 foot pool. If the wind had not been blowing, we would have had no trouble at all on the instillation. There was plenty of plastic coated wire & the tightening crank mechanism worked well. Not sure how it will hold up to 50+ mph winds this winter - the plastic material seems a little thin. Therefore, the jury is still out on durability.
