this trike was easy to assemble. It's great for the road. You can swivel as you're speeding. Adjustable seats allows even adults to ride. Not only its a great workout, its FUN! My kids say it's better than what they expected. I ordered 2 more! Price is just right, plus it's not found locally. Walmart made it easy to order.
drawbacks? The flag is not steady and falls off if on bumpy road and its really low, so be sure there are no cars around. The back tires ate plastic.
This is better than a bike, trust me. It gives you arm movement, upper body, and legs. Pkus it gives you the ability to drift in curves in 360°. The front tire has a plastic cover but its removable. Its a real tire. Has brakes and dual controls. You're gonna love it. Would HIGHLY recommend
My son has never learned how to ride a big two wheel bike and he is 9 years old. We have tried and tried...but just hasn't happened yet. He was always sitting on his 4 year old sisters big wheel and I would make him get off, afraid he would break it. I knew this would be perfect for him as soon as I saw it...and it is! He loves it...its a fun bike for him, easy to ride and figure out. I'm very pleased...my son actually enjoys going out and riding his bike now! We've only had it for a week so hard to say if the quality is good...but so far its been great. My only complaint would be putting it together...but once that's done, you are good to go! Great bike!
Bought it for my 90 lb 11 year old son. 3 other riders 16 yr (140 lbs) 18 yr (150) and me 42 (170). I, a competent handy adult) assembled the "machine". A slight pain but done! No construction problems but with leg strength comes speed. Lean into the turn or you'll flip! It is fun and good cardio! If you have little knowledge of assembly, or lazy, stupid or just an indoor/office bound person then don't purchase. This item although Will be placed in a yard sale, on craigslist or just a burden for space soon. Just like most workout DVDs, it will be used for a short time and then just take up space. Look on craigslist or the classifieds first before spending the $110....unless money is no option!
Bought this for my son's early March birthday. Now writing this about 22 days into the month, notwithstanding the week off for Spring Break. Rear wheel has come apart (the sidewall has de-laminated from the tread). And this is after less than a month of use! From an (now) unhappy 11y.o. boy. He is well and truly bummed that one of his rear tires is kaput as he really liked this toy. Will look into replacement wheels, but the warranty info states specifically that rear wheels aren't covered.
Was fun while it lasted but doesn't warrant a recommendation!
We purchased 2 for our younger children, at a local superstore. Our kids are 6 yrs and 7 yrs old, and weigh under 55lbs each.
Got them home on Saturday at 3pm to ride on sidewalks here.
3:30pm First one's seat came off. Completely broke, not able to rig or duct tape in any way, shape or form.
3:35pm 2nd's Flag came off back because plastic split apart..
3:45pm, fight ensued over over #2 that lasted until
6:00pm 2nd's seat came off (all screws split plastic, it's non-fixable)
Sunday 10am Took both back to local superstore for full refund.
Monday 4:30pm Sat down to write this review and hopefully encourage other parents not to waste their time. We are looking at the Razor 360's, same price and solid steel frame, tires are not cheap plastic either.
Hope this helps! Don't let the cool lime green color and handles fool you to think otherwise...You really will pull your hair out!
My husband and I put this together in a couple of hours. We had to unassemble and reassemble the front wheel because the first time, we did it upside down. The instructions should've brought attention to it. We realized it when I tried it out. I couldn't pedal forward...only backward. My son loves it though! It seem well made. It's raining though, so we couldn't try it out.
