I consider this one of the gems to have come out of films produced in West Michigan. A very heartfelt story about learning to be happy with what you have in life, even when things are tough. With the combination of a great cast, great visuals and a great score, you can't lose!
I worked on this movie as one of the on set Athletic Trainers. It was filmed near my home town, and they used a lot of local people for staff. It was an amazing experience! It was fun to watch the film and remember all the scenes I was there to watch being filmed. Also, the cast and crew on this film were just the nicest bunch of people ever. They didn't act like "movie stars", they were friendly and excited to be in Michigan during a beautiful time of the year.
That being said, the film was good, but not "great". There were a couple of holes in the plot, and I wouldn't call it Oscar worthy. But the acting is good, it's well, paced, and it's a cute "feel good" movie. I really enjoyed it.
A great movie!
Many of us imagine reliving significant life moments and wondering if we would change them if possible. Scott gets a chance to do that - and not only his accomplishments on the football field. Having that rare opportunity to relive the past but with knowledge from the future, Scott discovers the things that matter and how he almost took them for granted.
A truly insightful and uplifting story for all of us who dream of "the good ole days".
I would recommend this movie for a family to sit down together and watch. People think that if they could go back and change things it would make their life easier. The grass may be greener on the other side but theres a septic tank under that grass.
