Drive was warmed to room temp over 24 hours, attached to a laptop, tested by all the SeaTools short tests, used until it was 80% full before it failed. I scheduled an RMA for the drive, and Seagate shipped me another faulty drive. And they expect the consumer to pay return shipping on every drive that arrives faulty or fails during the warranty period. Save you headaches, buy from a manufacturer who pays the the return fee. WD has never given me a problem.
