These pellets are a good value, inexpensive and 500 per tin.
pro's 1) They are heavy (weight info found at Pyramid air) 9.8 grain.
2) The round nose hits hard, even from my 600 fps airgun.
3) they are cheap compared to RWS superdomes.
1)They lack good accuracy (only 1 inch groups at 10yards) at least two flyers in every 5 shot group. 20 yard shots are 1.5 to 2 inch groups.
2)They fit rather loosely in the chamber, not snug like the Crosman wadcutters.
3)Must be ordered online, not available in store.
I had high hopes for these Winchester pellets, They are clean and look well formed, not bent or smashed. I think they maybe a little to heavy for my air rifle at only 600fps. A airgun rated at 1000fps maybe better suited for these pellets. It also maybe the fact that they are to loose in my guns chamber but that might not be a problem with other guns, don't know.
My gun is zeroed for the Crosman 7.4 wadcutter pellets and will consistently shoot through the same hole at 10 yards and 1/2 to 3/4 inch groups at 20 yards. These Winchesters hit 1 to 1.5 inches low at 10 yards, so the extra 2.4 grains in weight makes a huge difference.
I don't think I'll buy these again, but thought I would leave a review for others who maybe interested.
For dead/nuts accuracy, I'll stick with the Crosman wadcutter and for the hard hitting the Crosman Destroyers are more accurate than these Winni's.
