I've had this foundation for a year or so and I've been using it nearly every day for a lot of that period. Even though the right shade for me wasn't available and I bought a darker one, it has been working for me, especially through the summer when I got some tan.
I'd say my skin is dry and sensitive. It's actually never oily, like never. So I'm careful when choosing cosmetics for my face. I've put this foundation on in different situations so I have a lot of experience with it. It sometimes irritates my face when my skin is not in perfect condition, but it hasn't been too bad - the irritation eventually stops. (I know it's not the best option to put on foundation to irritated skin anyway). When my skin is not hydrated enough, the foundation doesn't look very smooth when I put it on, but overall it's fine.
When my skin is in good condition, well-cleaned and hydrated, the foundation looks great on it. Unlike many other foundations, it's not very visible and it doesn't give a mask effect unless you put a lot of it, especially if the shade is not the right one for you.
When it comes to imperfections, I don't think it would be able to cover well big imperfections like pimples, but for uneven skin tone and black spots it does the job. (especially if you clean your face beforehand to ensure it's smooth)
I would rather recommend it than not recommend it, but it depends on the person. If your skin is not like super sensitive, you could try it out. Try finding a store where they have testers, I always test stuff before I buy it since my skin is somewhat sensitive.
But I should say, if you're not willing to give more money for a better foundation, choose from L'Oréal foundations, I don't think you would regret it! I've tried 3 of them on and I'm about to buy one of them apart from this one. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
