This was the first time using a smoker, went together easy, after reading a ton of reviews on all smokers to see common problems. What I learned was you can't trust temp gauge I bought a separate one to put inside, the one that came with it was off 50 degrees. I made my first meal in it, I put in chicken, corn on the cob and potatoes, set temp to 250 degrees held it no problem. All the food came out great.
