It wasn't "non-skid" like I hoped, therefore no better than any standard flexible pastry mat. Unless I was using it wrong, it was sliding all over my counter when I tried to roll out the dough. However, the grid and circle measurements on it come in handy and is larger than the cutting board I was trying to use before. What I ended up doing is putting those rubbery non-skid shelf liners underneath and the slipping and sliding ceased.
