This was a gift for my 8 year old and he loves it, it takes decent pictures and he has fun with it. For the price you cant beat it!
My Olympus camera finally broke after several years so I really didn't want to spend the money again and went for the $29 dollar Vivitar. What a mistake. For example, my memory card doesn't fit in the camera; employee stated memory cards all same size so I haven't figured that out yet. You get to take one picture and then your memory is full! Just bought a new six pack triple A batteries and first three lasted 5 pictures and I got one picture out of the next 3. $6 down the drain! You'll spend way more on buying batteries for this cheap camera then spending more for a better quality camera. Granted they still went fast in my Olympus but not this bad. Also, picture quality stinks! I've had for about six months and what a waste!
The image manager CD does not work. We've tried it in 3 computers, and they do not read it. I've emailed the company, and I have not heard back from them. I hope they can send a link that allows me to download the software soon. I'll probably be returning the camera. It's too much trouble.
If you want to spend too much for a kids toy, this "camera" might be for you.
If you want to actually take legible pictures, however, stay away.
