Okay, so, let me start things out by saying I am an experienced tablet user and have been using graphics tablets since 2007. This is also what I told Genius when I contacted their Customer Support email for help when my brand new Genius tablet didn't work! They proceeded to treat me like a child who didn't know what they were talking about, asking me the most ridiculous troubleshooting questions after I had just explicitly stated that I had already done these things. The worst part? They took 1-3 days to tell me each new 'troubleshoot'. None of them worked, of course.
The Pen Pressure refused to work with the Genius no matter what I did. Pen Pressure had always worked with my Wacom, and, I did try it with the Wacom uninstalled and with the Wacom installed because I know how to go through a Process of Elimination. Uninstalled the Genius, reinstalled the Wacom-- pen pressure works fine for it! Plug in Genius? No pen pressure! Uninstall Wacom? No pen pressure!
It was a nightmare, and, then they up and decided not to respond to me for a week so I took it back to a Walmart store and got my money back. They just only decided to email me TODAY, asking me to file a claim so that I could MAYBE get a return. I told them what I thought of their customer support, told them to have a nice day, and told them do not contact me again.
I am never buying Non-Wacom ever again.
This is my first computer sketch pad and I've never used another so I really have nothing to compare it to but I love it! I purchased it to play "Draw My Thing", a free drawing game I enjoy playing on Yahoo.com, because I was tired of struggling to draw with my mouse. It's small enough to fit in the space I have for it, near my keyboard and mouse, but big enough to allow me to create some superior drawings (compared to my mouse). There are some things that I still draw with my mouse, but this thing is great and everything I hoped it would be. I ordered it on-line, on Walmart's website, and everything went smooth, the price was reasonable, and it arrived exactly when they said it would. I was worried because I tried the electronics departments, at the 2 closest Walmarts near my house, asking if I could see one - in action - and they didn't have any to show me - they only sell them on-line. I had to take a chance and order it without seeing or trying it first and I'm sure glad I did. I have 1 complaint: the "User's Manual" (handbook) that comes with it barely says anything about it - in 27 languages. I'm supposed to get into the computer user manual that comes on the CD - that also comes with it. But I haven't yet. And yet I'm still so happy with it. That's how easy it is to use. I just opened the box and plugged it in, to a USB port, and my computer automatically recognized it and I've been using it since, learning a little each time. I wish I could draw you a picture here, of me smiling, but suffice it to say that I highly recommend it!
