I have been using a bambo mat to make sushi for years. My husband bought me the sushezi for Christmas. It seems like a silly gadget, but I love it. It is so easy to use even my kids can make their own rolls. We have sushi at least once a week now because the sushezi makes it so fun and easy! We have since bought another one for us and one as a gift. We have done sushi night with friends and they all want one now too. (Walmart.com was the cheapest we found the sushezi)
Great Sushi Maker
I purchased this as a wedding shower gift and was so impressed with it I am going to get one for myself. I went on youtube.com and watched several video's of it being demonstrated on how easy it is to use. It made sushi making even for the beginner easy to do. And it can be used for making cookies, sausage rolls, etc. I also purchased the cookbook "Sushi for beginners" to go with the gift and highly recommend this book to go with the sushi maker. It can also be purchased at Walmart.com. I love shopping at Walmart.com because it is easy to do and it comes to the store near where I live and I don't have to pay for shipping.
Quick and Easy
The Sushezi made a quick perfect shaped roll on my first use! It was very easy to use, clean, and kind of fun (I'm sure that will wear off, though). Although it is so simple and should be less expensive, I believe that it was worth it.
So I'm an avid sushi lover, and i have to say this is the EASIEST method to make them. I am really glad I purchased this. Also it's the cheapest price I found compared to online stores.
The real deal!
Bought a fake from a seller on Amazon and the original seller would not return it. So I came here with hopes I wouldn't get another fake. This is the original Sushezi. Not fake. Get it, it works, nothing falling off, instructions in English, etc.
I have never made sushi before. I was watching a video on sushi making on the internet and saw this Sushezi Sushi Maker being used by the Chef. Looks so simple, so I decided to order one. I ordered through Walmart because their price is reasonable and "Shipping and Handling Fee" is very minimal and very sensible!! So if Walmart carries it, it will definitely be my choice. The very first time I made sushi, it came out perfect!! I present the sushi to my son and daughter, they thought I bought it from the sushi bar! Who need years of training when you can do it in minutes! Thank you Sushezi Sushi Maker, you're now my favorite in my kitchen!
Really works!! Can now quickly and easily make perfect sushi!!
Great product, but takes some time getting used to
Bought 2 of them so my daughters could make their own. Needless to say watching all the youtube videos on this product made it look real easy. Well once I purchases all I needed to make the sushi, after 2 attempts the sushi feel apart. I followed the instructions and I think the problem I ran into was the rice. I used the Japanese rice (jasmine) and it came out sticky. I packed the rice into the sushezi and to a disappointment it fell apart once I pushed the sushi out. I think (since I will not give up on it) was that I need to use the sushi rice. I need the rice specifically made for sushi. I will say the ideas of making your own sushi is endless (buffalo chicken, chicken ceasar, beef bugolgi and shrimp teriyaki). I thought this would be a great lunch for my kids to keep them full until they get home. School lunches now a day aren't really good and fulfilling. So I will give it another try and if I remember will come back and give an update.
Love it, makes sushi so easy.
I must say that this product did not fit my needs what so ever. The amount of Rice it takes to make one sushi rice is equivalent to 4 hand made rolls, the Rolls out the unit are so big, thick stuffed with Rice . the product comes as promised, its fun for sushi lover who wants make sushi at home on beginner level however be ready to eat more rice and less ingredients. i used it for the first roll and never again.
Sushezi was amazing! Works perfectly!
Real easy to use, much better as far as feel and flimsiness compared to Chinese copy's you can get on eBay for under 5$. Now I just have to learn to cook the rice......
I will never hand roll again
Today I used the Sushezi for the first time. It was so easy. When I got mine it only came with french instructions but I was still able to make 9 rolls in no time at all. My son was also able to make a perfect rolls. I have already recommended this product to many of my friends on Facebook. I will continue to spread the word on how good this product is to friends and other people I know. Thank you for coming up with an awesome time saving item. Considering getting more.
Product is exactly what I ordered. Have not given it to person yet so not sure how it will work but rated product on being exactly what I ordered.
WHAT an Amazing Invention
I tried it the first time and A MAZ ING! Love this product - will NEVER make Sushi without this marvelous apparatus ever again!
Very easy to use and saves a lot of time.
Easy to use saves time and makes fun for all helping to use it.
great invention for sushi lovers
simple to use, works perfectly, made pro-looking sushi rolls in no time at all
I could never make sushi the old fashion way but this unit makes it a breeze. The only compliant I could even mention is that it likes to come unhinged in between making rolls and is finicky getting back in place but it's not a major concern
We love the Sushezi!!
This is awesome! I am not skilled enough (or patient enough to learn!) to make sushi with the bamboo roller, so this is perfect for me! We use it often because it is so easy. This is actually my second one. The first I bought from Amazon and my son took it back to school with him. Amazon no longer sells the Sushezi brand, so I was excited to find it at Walmart!
Review of vs p chef wished I sushi maker
I believe I followed all instructions exactly, but did not get nice rolls.. They fell apart easily. I will try it once more in a few days before deciding whether or not to return. The purchase arrived promptly, but without instructions in English. I did, however, find English language instructions on the internet.
