Recently finally got rid of cable TV and when adding the final component of the home theater system needed a 3 way splitter to connect a Winegard Fl5500a Flatwave Amped indoor Antenna (bought at Walmart) and two coaxial cables from old VCR to our Smart TV.
Had absolutely no reception loss with the RCA VH48N 3 way splitter that we could detect. At first had a little static noise when playing videos with the old VCR, but that was caused by the amplifier on the Winegard antenna being to close to the RCA way splitter. Once I moved the antenna amplifier a foot away from the RCA 3 way splitter all static noise disappeared.
Components used in our home theater system: Samsung Smart TV, Samsung HT-H5500W Blu-ray player and surround sound system (bought at Walmart), Roku 2 (bought at Walmart), RCA Suburban Mini Yagi (bought at Walmart), Winegard Fl5500a Flatwave Amped indoor Antenna (bought at Walmart), an older RCA VCR which is why the 3 way splitter was needed, and a Channel Master DVR+. We now have a home theater system with more capabilities and television shows than cable TV could ever provide. We used 2 different antennas due to reception problems when winds were over 35mph with one of the antennas.
Best of all, unlike cable television our system has No Monthly fees or charges ever!
One could say with all the home theater components mentioned above that we bought at Walmart our savings will continue every single month for years since we will have absolutely no monthly fees or charges ever again.
