It's the messiest manicure I've ever had. First, the product claims "no basecoat". That's because they call it an "activator" #it's really super glue#. The activator is really thin and runs over the edge of your nail and under the tip, glueing the tip to your finger. The color is supposed to "mix" with the activator. The activator that's already run over the edge of your nails, so the color then does too, because the activator pulls it down. If you apply it too thinly, it gets pasty and you have long strands #I was pretty darn quick, too, so it wasn't excessive time - less than 60 seconds per hand each coat#. If you apply adequate amounts it runs over the edge. So now you have a mess of color. And there's irregularities in the coat that you can't do anything about without removing and starting over. Which requires soaking in acetone, for a while. And good luck getting it out from under your nail. I don't know how you're supposed to avoid glueing yourself to the paper towel, especially if your nails are long. The package claims, "applies like polish" but then the instructions say, "This is not regular polish!" It applies NOTHING like regular polish. Good luck. Other gel colors that require UV are MUCH easier. I'd rather apply regular plain polish daily than mess with this junk once.
