Overall I am impressed with this set. The "grained" cabinet is handsome; a striking departure from the glossy fingerprint magnet cabinets of so many other sets. There are a usable number of HDMI slots and etc. The picture is brilliant and adjustments are user-friendly. The remote is functional and includes a real EPG (electronic guide) which I feel is a "must have" for over the air viewing.
Two points against this set as far as I am concerned, are : the audio output does not mute from the remote, requiring the use of a second remote to "blab off" commercials. Also, there is a constant "pixelation" around the edges of moving people and objects, causing all outlines to be fuzzy. The colors seem at times to be alive. The reds especially bubble and churn like storm clouds, drawing the eye to them instead of the action on the screen. DVD's through the HDMI appeared the same. Now, in all fairness, if you like to watch TV from the other side of the room with your glasses off, you may never notice these issues. But when Walmart offered some refurbished Samsungs for a few dollars more, I quickly opted for one of those instead.
If you are not too picky, This is not a bad TV for the money.
