No surprises here -- this rack does exactly what you expect it to -- it gets your bikes off the floor and stashed against the wall. Some reviews mention that the rack will not hold 6 bikes; that is nonsense. All six hooks are infinitely linearly adjustable, and bikes will nest fine if you move the pedals so that they do not interfere with each other.
The unit seems a little over priced, and should be able to be customized/modified with additional bracket(s), longer rack, and/or additional hooks. Since the hooks attach to the square "rod", you can hang them straight down (for helmets and other equipment) or mount them as intended to hold a bike securely.
Bottom line is that it does what it claims. It holds 6 bikes off the ground. We followed the installation instructions exactly. Very easy to install. The bar needs a middle support. We loaded it with 5 steel frame mountain bikes and it started to bend the bar due to the weight. We manufactured our own middle support and now the item works to our expectations. For lightweight road bikes, this would be perfect as is.
I mounted ours into masonry, so the screws that were included weren't useful as there are not a lot of framed walls in Florida garages. If you are in the same boat, some 5/16" X 2" Tapcons will do the trick. The bar is quite sturdy. We hung four bikes and staggered them by hanging by front wheel, then back wheel on the adjacent bike, so the handle bars didn't get entangled and we could pull an individual bike down without snaring the adjacent bike. Hanging 6 bikes like the picture means you'll be taking at least 3 bikes down to get to the middle one. The instructions weren't great. It would have been nice to have photos of the installed hooks. Without the photos, I ended up hanging my rack higher than I would have liked.
Our garage looks wonderful and organized with the bikes hung for the winter. Easy to hang and a great storage option. We have 2 adult, 2 med, and 1 small bikes hung on the rack.
