Was nervous about such an inexpensive blu ray player, but it is great. Set up was easy. So, far we have connected to Netflix, Amazon & Vudu. They are all easy to navigate & register for.
We bought this player because we thought it would be good to have both the player and the apps together. We currently have a Roku to stream movies programs (Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, etc) which is wireless. We have two Vizio flat screens that we love so Vizio seemed a good choice for a player. It requires ethernet and every time we use the apps it stops in the middle of the program/movie - not once, but several times and usually goes back to the beginning. Called Vizio customer service and after looking it up in the manual - while we were on hold - was no help at all and said it was an app problem. In the year we have had the Roku we have had a problem four or five times - not every single night. Now I wish I hadn't purchased this unit.
I bought this player because I needed a bluray player that streamed pandora, netflix, and blockbuster on demand. As far as playing blurays, it gives amazing picture and sound. But the apps (netflix in particular) are very poor. It took over 5 minutes just to load netflix. Then another 5 minutes to load my IQ. Taking it back tomorrow and just gonna pay a little more and get a high-end bluray player. Vizio is a good brand otherwise. My TV is Vizio and I love it.
