It is not an ipad but it works fine for me. I purchased for my 5yr for christmas but i can't put it down. It is fast and faster when you upgrade the software. You can download the getjar app to find plenty of free apps and you could even download apps from amazon. It plays youtube fine for me and it does everything it says it will do. It is very responsive to the touch and downloading is fast depending on your internet service provider. I would buy another one over an ipad any day

I just got this yesterday and I Love This Device. There are some amazing apps from angry birds to ESPN. I also like that with an SD Card You Can Expand Your Space To 32gb. Amazing Product and a Great Price. I would Recommend this to Everyone I Know

I received my supernova pandigital for my birthday. I LOVE this tablet! It does everything I want and need. I would highly recommend this product to everyone. My husband and I bought two reg. Pandigitals for our kids and returned them after christmas because they did not compare to my supernova. So now we will be getting two more supernovas for the kids. My mom is also going to get one. This tablet is wonderful! I'm glad it doesn't have a glass cover because I like using my fingertips rather than my nail or stylus on a glass cover.

I got this before christmas and I am surprised at all the bad reviews this has gotten. I actually got mine from qvc. It does everything it says it does, it is fast. It connected right off to my internet. for the value you cant beat it. the Getgar apps are okay but all you have to do is go to amazon store and you can download more apps for free. I was dissappointed that skye doenst work too good but they said they would fix it in the future. You have to go to the amazon store and download the netflix app. havent actually downloaded music or movies yet. I dont think it is as cheap as the one guy said with the buttons and the keyboard is easy to use. It is NOT an ipad and people expect more out of this 179. device as I think that is why they are so dissappointed. it is expandable to 32 gb which is good. so far I dont see a problem with it. people expect too much for the price they paid. you can even get word and excell documents on this etc. so far I am happy with this product. would I like an ipad probably yes. but for the price this is good and does everything I want it to do.

After a little time and research I can't put it down. I have tons of apps installed including Skype, Kindle, Dolphin HD browser, pingers text free app, Tunein radio, Facebook, Netflix, FM radio, Pandora. My resource is the Facebook page "I Love Pandigital Planet" there are many other users and Pandigital field testers there that give you immediate answers. I was skeptical at first and now I am buying hubby one. International Business Times reviewed it at CES 2012 in Las Vegas and states "In conclusion, Kindle Fire has the big brand name Amazon behind it, but when it comes to a face-off, Pandigital Supernova is the clear winner." I say do a little research and give it a try!

If you are shopping for a tablet in the $200 price range this is the one to buy. This tablet has many features that other tablets, including pricier ones, don't have. I'm able to access Netflix, borrow library books, surf the web, play games, access my email accounts, listen to my music and more. Things that I feel could be better: screen resolution, access to the android market and a flash for the camera. (But you can't have everything)

I bought my first Tablet a year and a half ago. Since then I have purchased about a dozen and returned about six. In my opinion this Pandigital SuperNova is the second best that I have. Only the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is better (but it is over twice the price). This Tablet has the best User Guide that I have run across. It is great for anyone that is not familiar with Android. And the Guide is searchable. It is right on the main screen under the Barnes & Noble books. This tablet is fast (Quadrant Score = 1778). The battery life is good. The screen is bright and clear. The orientation sensor changes fast without being "twitchy". It has loaded all the apps that I have thrown at it. And the construction (being all plastic) feels solid and the weight is nice. I think that a 8" 4:3 Tablet is ideal. Overall, the more I use this Tablet, the better I like it. Do the Firmware Update right away. It cured a few hiccups that I had right after I started using it.

I have been using my tablet for 3 weeks now, and I am really happy I bought it! I didn't want to spend the money for an ipad, but wanted the portability of a tablet, so that I could check my e-mail when ever, and any where that WiFi is available. The Super Nova can do that and much more! I down loaded the Android market, a few days after I got the tablet, because I wanted google sky App, but I still can't get that app. Maybe because I don't have GPS. But there are lots of other apps, that I found to be interesting in the market. I read the other reviews where some could load the market and others couldn't, so I google searched until I found the file I needed to down load, and then just followed the You Tube video, that shows exactly how to open that file. It worked perfectly, and only took a few minutes. Camera works well for out side pics, and ok inside. (No flash) Being able to add memory with a mini SD is great! Nice screen size! Made my own case to accomidate the size, since it is in between the more popular tablets in size. I didn't want a black case, and that is all I could find for an 8" tablet. I am really happy with my purchase, and felt I should write a review, because I made my decision to buy the Super Nova, based a lot on what I read from others reviews.

When I saw the price of the Pandigital SuperNova 8", it was really hard to pass up. It seemed at the time and description that it was just what I was looking for. It wasn't. First of all, the casing is made of plastic, as well as the touch screen, this gives it a real cheap feel. The buttons, although well secured, feel like they could fall out at any minute. Performance is slow, and on some programs tends to hang. Doesn't come with many apps, and market androids apps are not compatible, there is a site that offers, but they are terrible. It can't play Netflix, many YouTube videos, but seems to be ok on music. There is more, but I'll stop there, it's a value, just not a good one. I should have just saved my money and purchased an I Pad or Kindle Fire.

I got mine from QVC it was a todays Special.I love it.I am self taught on a pc so wasn't sure if I could get the hang of this.I love it can't seem to put it down.I have downloaded books from B&N,amazon, getjar,got my clock setup ,have used the camera,kobo ,mcafree security etc.love it get it try you won't be disappointed

Do not buy from Pandigital unless you enjoy being ignored by customer service and being left waiting for a replacement that has still not arrived after two months of waiting. I have sent four emails, called twice and been ignored at every turn. When I finally spoke to an actual person and asked for a reason for the delay in returning a new product to replace the one that stopped working while under warranty, as I had been promised, I was told there was a problem in the warehouse and no ship date could be given. That was three weeks ago. The emails I have sent since have gone unanswered. I was originally told a replacement would be sent to me in three weeks. As stated above, it's been two months and I can't get a straight answer from customer service. Not worth the hassle. The original reason it stopped working - it needed to be "recalibrated" according to the first person I spoke with at customer service. Touching the screen only worked if you touched well below your selection, so of course, the keyboard could not be used. What a waste of time and money!

I love it! It does not have Android Market on it which is the only down side of having this. I have added the Amazon app & have loaded many apps from it. I have Nook, Kindle, Netflix, Facebook, games, and more on it. I added a 32g micro sd which should be more than sufficient for me. I use it daily and it travels everywhere with me. I haven't checked to see how it works on open wifi networks as I've used my home & work one. It is not a laptop and does not have the full capabilities of a computer so if you're expecting that you will be disappointed. My 5 year old even uses it, supervised of course. Worth the money.

After doing research about tablets and e-readers, I was ready to purchase this tablet. It ran great out of the box...for a week. Then, the touchscreen just stopped working; became totally unresponsive. I did not drop it; in fact it was in a case most of the time. There's no reset button, so all I could do was just try to power it off and on and make sure the unit was charged. Still nothing. Went online again and found out that this was a common complaint. Called tech support at pandigital; they don't process returns until 31 days after purchase, and besides, I don't want another pandigital that's just going to mess up again. I'm going to try to return it at my local walmart today, but I don't have the outer carton it came in, so I'm not sure if they'll take it or not. I was so proud of myself for being an informed consumer. At the same time, you get what you pay for, I guess.

i can access barnes and noble Nook books , and also added Kindle app . and put all the books from my kindle on it .. it does require a little memory card to be able to add the kindle app. but all else is as was expected , i am well please with it ..

I read and read many reviews on this website and others about this tablet and decided that in spite of the negative ones it was worth a try and I am totally happy and excited that I made this decision, I received my tablet as promised date wise from Wal-Mart.com and picked it up a my local store with no problems. I took it out of the box had it up and running in 5 minutes, I then called my IT guy who helped me configue some of the other applications and I just absolutely love this tablet, granted I am not trying to sell those who have bought the more expensive ones like th Ipad and others which I did consider, but knowing what I have and how great it works doing the things I need it to do and more is making me feel just great about saving $400+ and having a tablet that does mostly everything the big boys do! Sure there are some limitations and I knew that going in, but I sure can live without them knowing this one will do what I need it to do it is one great value and I am totally happy with mine just as it is, if you just need the basics save your money and give this one a try I think you will agree it will be worth the price paid.

This tablet is everything and MORE!! Was So pleased...exceeded expectations for this price tablet! Went online Walmart and purchased the WINTEC FILEMASTER 16 GB Micro SDHC card for only $14...shipped free. Came in three days..installed with ease and away we go.....downloading apps from GETJAR, AMAZON and more. My husband uses it as an e-reader and loves the 8" screen...says it is more like an actual page size. So easy to travel with instead of toting my laptop! BUY IT!

Bought this for my Daughters Birthday,In which I will give it to her tonite.But I have had so much fun setting it up and using it.I will get one for myself.Screen is nice and big,onscreen keyboard a plus.It works with Skype (voice) for face to face just download an app,Ive tested it and works great,good picture.I recommend this over cheaper tablets.Have Fun!!

This SuperNova is just that: Super. I am enjoying it. I installed Amazon App Store and have so far download a Virus Protection App (Dr. Webb)for Tablets, Radio Station for music and Newspaper for reading.

I love the tablet. I brought it for my kids and it works fine. They can watch movies on netfix by downloading the third party application from Amazon app store. Please purchase a memory card for 14.88 for 8gb, the internal memory has only 4gb. I have taken back three tablets to different vendors, you want to make sure that your tablet can handle adobe flash, a must. Supernova is a winner, the frame is thick.

Bought it for my wife. Now I get to do the cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping...It has become part of her being. Seriously, she does love it and it has all the features she wanted. She uses it when bakes or cooks instead of printing a recipe, she saves money by not wasting paper or ink. Good item for the price. Walmart shopping on line is convenient since we live quite a distance from the nearest store.
