so far I have used the Nexen N3000 tires on the front of my 1998 Corvette Coupe Z 06, I almost never use my Vette at higher speeds then posted, it is a beautiful torch red Coupe, with only 60,000 original miles after owning & drivng her for 4 years, being the 4th owner buying her with only 39,000 miles, living in the USA with lower speed limits for safety of the public, driving like I live in Germany & driving the high speed left lane on the Autobon is not what I want to do in the USA, yes, the Vette does have a 200 mph speedo, but, the most on cruse control I travel to save on gasoline using Ultra at Sunoco 94 Octane is probably 65 in NH & 55 in Ma, which are the posted speed limits, well anyway, these tires have saved me money so far, they take the cornors great at almost any speed that I have tested them at, , they are not noisey like the run flat tires installed by the factory, I plan on getting 2 rear Nexen tires for the rear before July of 2013, if a person has a Corvette & can not afford to buy run flat tires, which are a great idea, except they are very noisey, on wet roads on rainy days, the run flat tires do not hold the grip as the Nexen tires do, I can not wait until I need to purchase rear tires for my 98 Z06 Vette to have 4 Nexen tires on my Vette to see just what kind of handling I will get for less expensive tires then run flats, at $450 compaired to $102 for the fronts and $189 per tire for the rears, yes, I understand I have lost the ability to have the option of having run flat tires, I only used this option once when I first bought the Vette 4 years ago, I have AAA plus to be able to tow my Vette to my home up to 200 miles, living on social security, a retired trucker/mechanic businessman for 50 years at the age of 67 who needs to spend $450 per tire just to drive and own a Corvette? So far the only problem I have is that the Nexen front tires need to be rebalanced by Walmart in Salem, NH, I did get life time balancing, I just have to call them to see when I should bring the Vette back to get the front tires rebalanced & retorqued, for smoother handling, if I need I go driving for a emergency & need to use the Corvette to get me around heavy traffic, it will fly except the steering wheel shakes at higher speeds then posted, which is either balance of the 2front tires & wheels, front end aleignment or worn parts in the front end or bad out of round tires & or wheels, if the tech's at Salem, NH Walmart can rebalance the 2 front tires & retorque them correctly & it solves the problem, then all is well and good, if not, then I will have to have everything else checked with friends that have repair shops to try to see what is the issue, the tires also carry a life time road hazzard & the tire manfactuing life time warrantee if problem/s happen, if the tires are not made correctly I am sure Walmart will stand behind their products that they offer online to their customer's like me! For the sake of having spare tires, I did keep the used run flat tires, seeing that Corvette's do not have a spare tire in them, not like conventional vehicles, just in case Walmart has to reorder new Nexen tires, I will need to have something in replacement to use the Vette while waiting so I do not have to have Walmart keep my Vette until they come in, even on special order at a high speed prioity order I am sure it will be days before the issue is solved, time will tell what happens next after I bring the Vette back for rebalancing of the 2 front tires.
