I recently purchased this very nice Benjamin EB22 .22 pellet Co2 air pistol at Walmart. So far, I have been quite happy and pleased with the performance of this classic Benjamin product in terms of its accuracy and durability. The class and high quality materials (all metal and wood) utilized in the manufacture of this air pistol cannot be matched by its cheaper clone: the Crosman 2240 .22 pellet Co2 air pistol. As others have given performance reviews of the Benjamin EB22, I would like to offer a tip regarding a reasonably priced holster that fits this Benjamin air pistol so well that it almost seems as though it was made for it. As you may know, there really is unfortunately no such thing as a holster for pellet air pistols. To obtain a holster, you usually need to look at the holsters of regular handguns and then try to figure out the right size holster for your pellet air pistol. For some, this can be a confusing and frustrating experience. For the Benjamin EB22 air pistol, I have found a reasonably priced holster that fits the Benjamin EB22 very well. It is the Blackhawk! Sportster size #3 ambi holster w/mag pouch. It is model # B990263BK. It is available at Walmart for $14.67. Along with safely carrying my Benjamin EB22 air pistol in a secure manner, the holster also has a mag pouch on the front of it that I found is very handy to carry two 12 gram Co2 cartridges. All in all, I have found this Blackhawk! holster to be the perfect match for the fine Benjamin EB22 air pistol
I've had an older model of this pistol for over twenty years and gave it away and wanted another. I bought a new pistol and it is made much cheaper than the older one fit and finish really suffers and the loading is more difficult. Crossman make's a similar pistol that is cheaper still, seems like that would have been the wiser purchase. I certainly wish they made this with the older quality the earlier pistols were much nicer. I didn't think the quality had suffered when I bought my pistol, too bad the the old ones were really great.
very poor shipping sights and gun has damage. very good gun but shipping was very bad from walmart
Too hard to load c02 cartridge, You have to turn nut or knob with flat head or pliers. Well It took really hard force to puncture c02 and then It got stuck in gun Had to return to store
Shots very well would buy in other Cal.
This air pistol fits well in the hand, balanced. Good max. fps for the first 25-30 shoots, still accurate fps through 35-40 shots. CO2 cartridge exhausted at 45-50 shots for accurate grouping. Allows target shooting in the garage during winter months. This pistol makes for very inexpensive 25'-30' target shooting. Overall, a very nice air pistol. The feel and looks alone makes it worth the extra cost from the less expensive air pistols. No plastic parts on this air pistol. Sights, well, this is not a competition accurate target pistol. However, after shooting about 50 pellets through this pistol you will be able to get a very acceptable grouping. I'm 64 and this paper punching shooting air pistol helps me keep my eye-hand coordination sharp at a very low cost. As for varmint control in the garden this summer, IE groundhogs, I will continue to use my Benjamin Trail NP XL .22 air rifle. I'm sure at close range this air pistol could do the job.
