If you're upgrading your system to USB 3.0, you've probably already discovered that there's a lot of junk out there labeled as 3.0 when it's really 2.0 There doesn't appear to be any control over the standards. Just because it's blue doesn't mean it's USB 3. I hear all kinds of terrific speeds but really, If you can dependably get 2.5 times faster than USB 2, you're doing OK. The Manhattan 391887 is a really well made cable. It's just slightly smaller and slightly more flexible than coaxial. The ends are well made and everything has a good snug fit without feeling like it's stuck. I've tested the cord between the USB 3 Asus motherboard ports, SIIG USB 3.0 4-Port PCIe i/e Model JU-P40212-S1, and a Syba 3.5-Inch Front Bay USB 3.0 Expansion Port and Card Reader (SY-HUB50044. Receiving device is an Adata 32 gig USB 3.0 flash drive. All readings with and without the cord are the same. Bottom line, it's a good cable. If you're not happy with your USB speed, it's not the cable's fault.
