I bought my 18' pool three years ago and have used it for three summers, after which I drained it and put it away for the winter in the garage. I just set it up for the third year and while expecting a minor leak or two to patch up, there were none. For the amount I paid for this pool and the amount of enjoyment my Grandchildren get out of it, it is an amazing investment. This year I hooked up two Solar heaters to it to help warm up the sometimes chilly waters. I am still using the Filter/Pump that came with the unit, but the flow seems weak so I think I will have to upgrade to a better pump to ensure the filtering process is sufficient.
The only major thing to remember is that the ground the pool sits on MUST be level. If not, at best the pool will be tilted, one side higher than the other, and at worst, the low side will collapse and all the water will drain out. I brought in a load of sand and put it on top of the grass in the area the pool always sits. This is easy to level before the pool goes up and ensures the pool will be level. I just leave the ground sheet over the sand in the winter when I have taken the pool down to ensure it does not get washed away in the rain. When the kids are grown up and no longer have interest in the pool I will remove the sand, but for now, there is still many years of fun for the children ahead.
Great pool! Soft & safe for playing in! Just take care not to have sharp objects near ring or cigarettes! The ring on my last one only lasted about 3 or 4 summers though! I take mine down every winter.
Thank you for posting your review! We are happy you are enjoying your 18'x48" Easy Set Pool.
This pool is so fun and perfect. BUT you HAVE to spend another hundred bucks or so and buy the bigger pump. I think it's the 2500 gal one. Wish someone told me that the first summer we had it but its all good now. Or get real serious and buy a solid sand pump. It will make your life so much easier! Love my pool!!
took 4 hours to level, spread sand and put down Mat, but so worth it, took 2 days to fill, and I had a pump from a 21 Hard side pool that finally rusted out after 10 years, so I bought just Pool, Hoses and Pool Connectors for Pump, and then made them work on my pool , with 1 1/2 hp pump, it really circulates water, I put a 6 in Border around pool, 6 inches away from pool base and filled with sand, spent about $500 on whole thing, but just need it to last 2-3 years ! till I retire .....I think it was a great deal , better than a $2200 hard side !
