I am an occasional makeup user and nail painter (stopped all together when we started a family in an effort to avoid unnecessary chemicals). I was prompted to find a "safe" polish when my 4yo son came home and asked me to color his toes (a female classmate had her nails painted, so he asked me to do his "In blue, mom. Not pink, 'cause blue is for boys!).
These are half the floz of the normal bottles, perfect if you're not ready to commit, but will definitely give you many nail polishing sessions! The polish holds up better than expected (my toes are still coated 3 weeks later! And I only did a single coat). I recommend a hairdryer with "cool" setting as our low warm setting was still too hot for our fingers (and mine are used to washing baby bottles in scalding water!). You can use rubbing alcohol to remove (or standard polish remover), or just pick at the remnants (it will flake off easily at the end of it's "life").
Even with 97cent shipping (they weren't available in my local store), this is a good cost per ounce and overall value.
I would recommend the other color collections if you have a girly girl.
Despite being a "safe" product intended for little kids, my experience with these was so good, I actually bought a full size turquoise/Sea-Quin color (trendy toes for me!). FYI, Piggy Paint claims you can add a drop of water if the bottle gets too thick! Nice to know we can hang onto these for years to come!
