This foundation is comparable to BeneFit's Some Kind-a Gorgeous. The Milani shade "medium beige" is an exact dupe for Some Kind-a Gorgeous in medium. The trick to getting a flawless finish with this product is NOT to use the enclosed sponge for application. Apply it with a synthetic flat-top buffer/stippler brush or flat-top kabuki brush. Tap the tip of the bristles on the surface of the product, then apply to the face with a tapping (stippling) motion or by "buffing" it into your skin with a circular motion. You can control the coverage from sheer to full coverage. This foundation works best on oily/normal/combo skin. It provides a matte finish.
i like this powder foundation. it stays on pretty long, and it doesn't make your skin oily at all. When you put it on it makes your skin look flawless.
Excellent product - do not rub off on everything.
I ordered a couple of Milani products to try something new. I like the multitasker powder really lots! But this cream to powder foundation fell short. What's wrong?
First it's a bit thick when it actually goes on. I mean, it has pretty good coverage, so that's a plus, but it looked "artificial" on me. And I ordered buff and it was really quite light. I had a ghosty appearance.
Also, it's quite heavily perfumed, which doesn't suit me. And when I did finally decide to wear it for real (not just a little test patch), it made my skin a bit itchy/tingly. So I washed it off in about 1/2 an hour. I was thankful that I had done this at home and not just put it on and gone out or something. I think I would have been sorry if I'd done that!
