I bought this rifle about a month ago. 317.00 plus tax. I played with it several times in the store getting a feel for the bolt, which seems to be a major complaint for most. I took it home and disassembled cleaned and lubed everything. I used a light grease on the bolt assembly and set watching TV working the bolt. Felt much better afterwards. We went and shot the rifle this past weekend. We had no difficulty with the bolt action, ejection of spent cartridges or loading. Well worth the money. This thing is a beast though, eat your wheaties before you squeeze the trigger. Nice rifle.

After purchasing this combo for only $399.00 my expectations were not that high to begin with. I figured that for the price this rifle would be ok at best and serve the purpose I had in mind. First and foremost: Be ready to replace the scope rings. The cheap stock rings do not hold zero! Every time I would get the scope zeroed in, the recoil of the next shot would knock it off zero anywhere from 4 to 6 inches. Even after replacing the rings with high quality ones, the rifle has trouble staying zeroed in. I learned to accept the stiff annoying action of the bolt (as these models are famous for). It is a total pain trying to install a bi-pod on this rifle because the sling studs are molded into the plastic stock making them a permanent part of the stock. If a cheaply made rifle that performs sub-standard at best fits your needs then you can probably learn to live with this package. If your looking at the larger calibers like 300 win mag and 30. 06 I would advise spending a little more to have a rifle that performs more consistent.
