I have been gradually adding SystemBuild floor cabinets to my Laundry Room, and got this countertop to go across the 3 24-inch wide floor cabinets I just finished assembling and installing. The first top I ordered was shipped to the store. I got it home carefully and--after several weeks of it just leaning safely against a wall--I opened the package when I was ready to install it. I was quite disappointed that the front corner and front rolled edge had been damaged at some point, possibly during transit to Walmart OR while in their warehouse. The top has a straight edge which goes against the wall, and the "waterfall" edge faces the front. As the front edge was the damaged and visible area, I could not use it. The SystemBuild parts replacement ordering process (FREE for missing or damaged parts) was easy, and I got the new top in about a week. THAT was slightly damaged too, but THIS time it was the back edge (not visible once installed), and just a tiny "ding" on the front edge (which I've fixed with a small dab of glue and caulk), so I installed that one. HOWEVER, it seems to me that SystemBuild needs to REDESIGN their packaging to provide more padding and protection to the long edges of the countertop. That should solve the issue, as the countertop currently comes with styrofoam blocks at the ENDS, but nothing to protect the long edges at all. So as not to waste the damaged top and add to the landfill, however, I AM going to use the damaged top as a simple long shelf in my shed (none of my infrequent guests are likely to be seeing that... ;o).
