It's hard to make a compostable bag that degrades later, but holds up for a few days when you want to transport veggie scraps in the bag to a compost area. The bag does not support the weight of 1/2 lb of veggie scraps. After a few days as a bin liner, the bag bottom gets soggy and it can't support any weight, so when you lift it up, it breaks open. That's said, at least you know that if you wet the bag, it will degrade. However, if the bag remains dry, it won't degrade, so it is not really composting along with the veggie, fruit and plant scraps.
I was looking for bio bags but couldn't find it anywhere. Even whole foods stopped giving these for veggies. So had no option but to take it from here.
Looks good/too soon to tell efficacy.
I bought the bags because they were biodegradable but they fall apart too fast to be worthwhile
