Ghirardelli chocolate melts evenly and cooks perfectly. The chocolate is authentic with no artificial flavors like hershey's. Hershey's uses a grade B chocolate by the way which is grown to be highly resistant to disease and has double the shelf life than the chocolate used by Ghirardelli. Hershey's chocolate is subsisted with artificial ingredients and corn flavorings, corn preservatives, and corn sweeteners...and it tastes that way. Ghirardelli's chocolate has a deep creamy flavor even in the milk chocolate. Their 60% cocoa chips are a rich and deep chocolate of the cacao beans.
