I usually don't take the time to leave reviews, but I find them very helpful so I thought I should. My husband wears a 10 1/2 shoe, all the reviews said they ran small so I bought an 11. I usually buy him two pairs a year of no name moccains, in a size 10, and they always crack on the bottom and he can't wear them outside. I thought I would buy one with a good rep, pay a little more and he could have them for longer than a year. They are a "little" big, his foot kinda slips out of the back when he walks. He said they were ok not to return them. One of the reviews said you could not tighten them, that the strings were cheap and broke and were more for looks. That is not the case with the pair I rec. I tightened them up and although it was a little better, they will need to be tightened up more. He wears them everywhere, and with socks, he said they would probably be tight. Like I said he just got them, so there is no test of time, but they seem to be high quality, and one review said it was like walking on concrete, no cushion, don't know what kind of cushion he was looking for in a moccasin, but these have the same lining on the bottom as they do on the sides, and for moccasins they have plenty of cushion. They look like they will hold up to outside, hope so, he goes and get firewood with them all the time. Hope this helps.
