I've played around with this item several times and am really impressed. While the discs are different, I almost prefer them to the darts. The NERF toy is easy to hold and use and the discs shoot pretty far. Really happy with this item and it's durability as I've dropped it a few times and it still works great. Definitely a great buy for Christmas!
average gun, gets clogged every now and then but taking the clip out and checking is simple.
This gun is great, I have no idea why it has bad reviews. I bought the bundle for my boys for Christmas & they love the new discs! They are not lost nearly as easily as the darts & the gun does not jam easily. This gun doesn't shoot with as much force as the smaller vortex guns, but it does shoot discs out rapidly & you can easily take advantage of someone needing to reload. I would recommend the entire vortex line of Nerf guns; I think they're much better than the dart guns.
Bought this product online. Was shipped very quickly but here's the bad part. Wal-Mart shipped the product in the original product box. Just slapped an address label on it and sent it. THIS IS A CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR MY SON. It was almost ruined. I had todivert the kids away to go quickly hide the box.
Not to mention now everyone on my street knows what's on my porch. Poor choice by Wal-Mart of not putting the product in a box to ship it in.
Be very careful before ordering online.
These new disc shooting Nerf guns are a waste of money. The discs are very easily lost compared to the darts. After one day of use inside the house there are only 3 of the 20 discs left. This doesn't include the one the dog ate while they were playing, something that never happened with the darts. We found another disc about twenty minutes ago while vacuuming, when it jammed the roller and broke the belt. I can't imagine what damage it would have done if it had gotten farther inside. In all a very poor investment when you figure in cost of batteries and the continuing purchase of discs. It needs both "C" and "AA" batteries and without the "C" batteries it will not work. We will stick with the regular dart firing Nerf guns. The ammo is cheaper and not as easily lost.
