Since its release this Blu-ray (BR) DVD has had problems playing according to internet blogs and other sites. I watched it once my LG Blu-ray player (BD390). Now I wanted to watch it again and it will NOT play on LG (BD390) or Samsung (HT-E5400/ZA). Reading on blog sites and other internet discussions it sounds like FOX doesn't care. I updated firmware on both players. Both online versions and with USB downloaded files. No change - still not playing. I found one site which stated something about BD data memory. I found in Samsung settings this area and mine was listed as 957MB of 1021MB. So I cleared it. Now my Samsung plays the Blu-ray DVD. I cannot find this on LG player so it does not play this BR DVD.

This movie is a joy. Though it violates the continuity of the X-MEN Trilogy to a certain extent, this movie shows you a fictional history of the Cold War and also elaborates on Magneto's past. The tortured nature of Erik Lensherr (played by Michael Fassbender) is very present. Kevin Bacon gives a great performance as Sebastian Shaw. I was against this movie at first, but I went to see it with a free pass and paid to see it again. Impressive and even more entertaining if you like Cold War history.

X-Men: First Class is a great movie that you will find yourself watching over and over again. This movie was directed Matthew Vaughn who directed Layer Cake (good movie you should also check out). This movie features James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Kevin Bacon, and Jennifer Lawrence. The movie is set in the 1970's and shows the start of the Professor X's X-Men. The movie has heart and is has a great cast that showcase some great acting chops. The bad boys are tough and menacing unlike some weaker superhero movies. I enjoyed this movie and I would definitely recommend it.
